The photosensitive media has images only on one side. A heat activated adhesive sheet is provided between the sides of the photographic paper during folding. The adhesive sheet when exposed to heated and pressure rollers, will cause the sides of the photographic media to be secured to form a single album page.

Abstract: A method of constructing a photo album including the steps of: providing a plurality of digital images; generating an index print of thumbnails from the digital images, the index print including a machine readable means for selecting one or more of images represented by the thumbnails to be included in the photo album; selecting one or more of the thumbnail images on the index print; reading the selected thumbnails from the index print with a scanner; and constructing a photo album from the digital images represented by the selected thumbnails.

Abstract: An image registration method is described for X-ray imagery, in which specific views of the x-rays are provided to optimize tie point selection accuracy and efficiency. The first view maintains context during initial point selection. The second view provides a detailed view of each point pair, to allow for fine adjustment, while automatically presenting each point pair in sequence to the user. After the tie points are refined and the images are registered, a third view is provided which allows direct comparison of the registered images.

Abstract: A method of producing an animated electronic message in which at least a portion of a fee associated with producing the animated electronic message is paid for by a sponsor. The method comprises the steps of a user accessing a database which includes at least one sponsor message and software for producing the animated electronic message; the user using the software to produce the animated electronic message; the user agreeing to use the sponsor message which will provide a credit for some of the fee for producing the animated electronic message; and attaching the sponsor message and the animated electronic message which is sent to one or more recipients. In a further embodiment, a sponsor coupon is distributed with the sponsor message and the animated message. In a still further embodiment, the sponsor message is animated. In yet a further embodiment, the credit for some of the fee is paid by the sponsor to a service provider or to the user.

Abstract: A portable intra-oral capture and display system includes (a) a handpiece elongated for insertion into an oral cavity, the handpiece including a light emitter on a distal end thereof for illuminating an object in the cavity and an image sensor for capturing an image of the object and generating an image signal therefrom; (b) a portable, hand-cradled base containing, in a single integral enclosure, electronics for processing the image for display and a display monitor for displaying the image; (c) an electrical interface for communicating the image signal from the image sensor in the camera to the electronics in the base; and (d) a contamination control device for the portable, hand-cradled base comprising a pouch enclosing the single integral enclosure and having a transparent front panel that is positioned adjacent the display monitor. In addition, the electronics includes a touch screen interface for providing a plurality of touch screen controls that appear on the screen of the display monitor.

Abstract: Creating a dental model from a series of images of an intra-oral object includes the steps of (a) capturing a series of images of an intra-oral object from a plurality of capture positions, where the object includes common surface features and a control target arranged with respect to the object to provide control features; (b) measuring the common features from the series of images of the object and the control features from the control target imaged with the images of the object; (c) analytically generating a 3-dimensional model of the object by photogrammetrically aligning the measurements of the control features, thereby reducing image errors due to the variability of the capture positions; and (d) adjusting the photogrammetrically aligned 3-dimensional model of the object by aligning the common features of the model to like features on the image of the object, thereby producing an aligned dental model from the series of images.

Abstract: A method for authenticating playback of animated content of an object, the method comprises the steps of receiving a wire mesh having a plurality of line segments for describing the object; receiving texture data which describes a covering for the wire mesh; receiving movement data for directing movement of the wire mesh; (d) receiving a decrypted version of the movement data; (e) comparing the movement data and encrypted movement data for verifying that the movement data is substantially the same as the encrypted movement data which verification determines security status of the animated object; and (f) indicating first and second levels of security status for indicating a result of the comparison step.

Abstract: A method for authenticating animation, the method comprises the steps of capturing an image; converting the captured image into a wire mesh data for permitting animation of the image; providing movement data, which directs movement of the wire mesh data, and texture data indicating the covering for the wire mesh; electronically transmitting the wire mesh data, texture data and movement data; encrypting the movement data; and electronically transmitting the encryption the movement data for verifying that the animation is unaltered during transmission from its source.

Abstract: A method and system for employing image recognition techniques to produce a photocollage from a plurality of images wherein the system obtains a digital record for each of the plurality of images, assigns each of the digital records a unique identifier and stories the digital records in a database; automatically sorts the digital records using at least one date type to categorize each of the digital records according at least one predetermined criteria; and generates a first draft of a photocollage from the digital records. The method and system provides for alterations of the first draft using either a sticker selected from a plurality of stickers which each have a unique identifier within a data base or a digital file format that allows drag and drop features of both the photocollage and alternative images to be placed within the photocollage.

Abstract: A photographic system involves the collection of data from a scene, e.g., a visitor attraction site, that is capable of interactive communication with a user. The attraction site stores content data related to the site, and the user communicates with the attraction site through a camera capable of conmmunication with the site. Besides capturing an image associated with the site, the camera stores predetermined personality data that relates an interest of the user to at least a portion of the content data and includes means for transferring the personality data to the attraction site. The camera further includes means for receiving and displaying the portion of the content data from the attraction site, and a user interface for selecting from the displayed content data that part which the user wants to keep. In this manner, information relevant to a user's interests about a photographed item can be easily requested, accessed and stored with the specific pictures that the user has captured.

Abstract: A method and system for employing image recognition techniques to produce a photocollage from a plurality of images wherein the system obtains a digital record for each of the plurality of images, assigns each of the digital records a unique identifier and stories the digital records in a database; automatically sorts the digital records using at least one date type to categorize each of the digital records according at least one predetermined criteria; employs means responsive to the sorting step to compose a photocollage from the digital records. The method and system employ data types selected from pixel data; metadata; product order information; processing goal information; or customer profile to automatically sort data typically by culling or grouping to categorize according to either an event, a person, or chronologically.

Abstract: A method of constructing a photo album wherein a plurality of digital images are provided in a low resolution format on sticker sheets that have a unique identifier that cross references the reduced resolution images digital images with a high resolution version that is stored in a data base. A set of decorative stickers is provided that can identify themes that can be represented on individual pages, such as birthdays, theme park visits, cruises, national parks, vacations and the like. A second set of sticker sheets is provided that functions as pages of a photoalbum having positions for the low resolution image stickers. The sticker sheet pages are loaded with low resolution stickers creating the pages for the photoalbum and the sticker sheet pages are then arranged in a desired manner on a page layout form resulting in a miniature version of the photoalbum which can be viewed at that point.
