  • Patent number: 6050905
Abstract: A golf surface repair tool is formed with a pair of mutually engageable component elements that may be releasably attached together. The component elements form a body from which a pair of narrow, elongated legs extend in generally coplanar alignment to define a gap therebetween. One of the body components is hollowed out to form an enclosure therewithin. The other body component is provided with a marking pen mounted thereon. When the two components of the tool are separated, the tip of the marking pen is exposed for use in applying identifying indicia to a golf ball. The two separable components of the golf surface repair tool can, alternatively, be releasably secured to each other so that the marking pen projects into the enclosure to isolate it from accidental contract with the golfer's skin or clothing. A thumb grip depression facilitates separation of the two separable components.

  • Patent number: 6030298
Abstract: A golf surface repair tool having a pair of legs for repairing a golfing surface following a shot is provided with internal implements that may be utilized as well. Specifically, the golf surface repair tool is fabricated utilizing at least three releasably interengageable body members. The legs of the repair tool extend from the first body member, which also defines an open mouth and a hollow cavity therewithin at its opposite end. The second body member has a closed end and an opposing open mouth and also defines at least one hollow cavity therewithin. A third body member is formed with a central base and a pair of pedestals which project from the base in opposite directions from each other. The pedestals have sides that respectively fit snugly in frictional or other engagement into the open mouths of the first and second body members.

  • Patent number: 5996116
Abstract: A golf ball marker is carried in open display on a fabric article of golf clothing or other fabric golf accessory and remains in position due to the force of magnetism. To produce this effect, a layer of magnetic material is secured in position in contact with a concealed side of a layer of fabric in the article of golf clothing or other golf accessory. The golf ball marker is constructed of a ferrous material so that when it is placed into contact with an exposed surface of the same layer of fabric against which the magnetic material is secured opposite the layer of magnetic material, the ball marker is held by the force of magnetic attraction against the exposed surface of the to fabric layer. The ball marker remains in position until purposefully dislodged by a force that opposes the magnetic field created by the magnetic material. This force may be applied by the thumb and forefinger of the golfer's hand to remove the golf ball marker from the fabric layer.

  • Patent number: 4627621
Abstract: A golf accessory is provided which serves both as a divot tool and as a clip. The clip can be used as a means of attachment of the accessory to the belt, cap, shoe or golf bag of a golfer. Alternatively, the clip can be used as a money clip. The accessory includes a looped return behind a disk-shaped body which defines a saddle, facing concave upwardly, and a concave dish. The dish is configured as a spherical segment having a radius equal to the radius of a golf ball, and can be used to check golf balls to detect departures from an ideal perfectly spherical configuration. The disk has a pair of legs which perform the function of a divot repair tool, and which also allow the accessory to be used as a stand to support the grip of a golf club above grass. The configuration of the saddle conforms to the circular arcuate configuration of the face of a golf club and is used to check golf club faces for defects.
