  • Publication number: 20130209402
Abstract: The present invention relates to human papillomavirus E7 antigen compounds and compositions for treating human papillomavirus infection and associated conditions. The invention provides, in part, polypeptide and nucleic acid molecules including sequences substantially identical to the sequences of two or more human papillomavirus (HPV) E7 antigens, where the E7 antigens are selected from at least two different HPV strains, and methods of using the same.

  • Publication number: 20080083462
Abstract: A pressure regulator is provided in which a valve (19) is coupled to a body (14), and is used to regulate gas pressure in a regulated pressure chamber (34). Valve (19) includes a movable sealing member (22) that is relatively soft. The movable sealing member (22) seals against a passageway (26) formed in a capsule body (20). The capsule body (20) is made of a material that is harder than the sealing member (22).

  • Publication number: 20040202647
Abstract: Herein, it is demonstrated that the posttranslational modification of the amino acid tyrosine to nitrotyrosine has profound consequences for immune recognition. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that self-proteins containing nitrotyrosine can be recognized by the immune systems as foreign and as such these same proteins can be converted to potential autoantigens. As such, this invention relates to compositions and methods for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions including autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases and cancer through the recognition of compounds containing nitrated tyrosine residues.

  • Patent number: 6709661
Abstract: Compositions and methods for preventing, treating and detecting leishmaniasis and stimulating immune responses in patients are disclosed. The compounds provided include polypeptides that contain at least an immunogenic portion of one or more Leishmania antigens, or a variant thereof. Vaccines and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such polypeptides, or DNA molecules encoding such polypeptides, are also provided and may be used, for example, for the prevention and therapy of leishmaniasis, as well as for the detection of Leishmania infection.
