The head includes a central skeleton, resilient side members mounted on either side of the central skeleton, tuft mounting receptacles in both the skeleton and the side members, and bristle forming tufts received in both the tuft mounting receptacles of the skeleton and of the side members. The side member bristle tufts are movable both sideways and downwards in a toggling movement relative to the bristle tufts stationarily mounted on the skeleton.
