  • Publication number: 20230265926
Abstract: A cartridge seal assembly includes an outer housing including a first tubular segment having a first axial end and a second axial end, and a first flange extending radially inward from the second axial end; an inner housing including a second tubular segment having a third axial end and a fourth axial end, and a second flange extending radially inward from the fourth axial end; and a first seal ring having a first tapered inner circumferential surface that defines a first passage through the first seal ring. The inner housing is removably secured to the outer housing, and the first seal ring engages a portion of one of the inner housing and the outer housing.

  • Publication number: 20210033195
Abstract: A sealing system for sealing a cylindrically shaped surface containing a first annular seal and a second annular seal. Each annular seal has a gap penetrating from the outer diameter to the inner diameter. The angle of the gap in the first annular seal and the angle of the gap in the second annular seal and the arrangement of the seals relative to an expander ring and a biasing ring minimizes leakage without the need for an anti-rotation pin or other means that would significantly decrease efficiency and reliability.

  • Publication number: 20080254150
Abstract: Botanically-sourced and botanically-derived emollient sanitation compositions for topical use are disclosed. Representative compositions generally aid reconstitution of the lipid profile of the stratum corneum by providing botanical lipids and/or lipid-derivatives that resemble human sebum—these components being ordinarily diminished with the use of conventional hand sanitizer products. Disclosed features and specifications may be variously controlled, adapted or optionally modified to realize, for example, improved hand sanitizer formulations. Representative embodiments of the present invention generally provide anti-microbial compositions blended with botanically sourced lipids and/or lipid-derivatives to control or otherwise improve dermatitic symptoms associated with frequent use of conventional hand sanitizer products.

  • Publication number: 20060193800
Abstract: The disclosed systems and methods for delivery of variable tint pigment materials in cosmetic concealer/foundation products generally include anhydrous carrier particles adapted to carry pigment. The pigmentation carrier particles may be optionally admixed with anhydrous (optionally tinted) base formulation material that is suitably adapted to suspend and/or separate the pigmentation carrier particles. Disclosed features and specifications may be variously controlled, adapted or otherwise modified to realize improved site-specific delivery of pigment in customized concentrations in order to achieve a desired result. Exemplary embodiments of the present invention generally provide anhydrous pigmentation carrier particles that may be mixed with substantially anhydrous topical base formulations that allow a user to deliver a selected concentration of concealer/foundation tint to a specific region of the skin, for example, in order to obscure a blemish.

  • Patent number: 6432428
Abstract: Disclosed are dry-feel emollient compositions comprising fatty alcohols, alkyl esters and jojoba wax esters obtained by a novel process of a base catalyzed alcoholysis reaction between jojoba oil and an alcohol, such as isopropyl alcohol. The composition is essentially solid at room temperature, can be provided in various shapes and sizes (especially as particulates such as spheres). These new compositions increase the range of applications for cosmetic compositions by providing an emollient that is more polar and hydrophilic than is found in naturally occurring jojoba oils (jojoba wax esters). These compositions have use in personal care, cosmetic, cosemceutical and pharmaceutical products.

  • Patent number: 6280746
Abstract: The present invention are dry-feel emollient compositions comprising jojoba oil based esters that have use in personal care, cosmetic, cosmaceutical and pharmaceutical products. These compositions are essentially solid at room temperature, can be provided in various shapes and sizes (especially as particulates such as spheres), and can be produced from combinations of fatty alcohols, isopropyl esters and wax esters obtained from the oil contained in the seed of the jojoba plant. These new compositions also increase the range of applications for cosmetic compositions through an emollient that is more polar and hydrophilic than is found in jojoba oils. The compositions of the present invention may be obtained by a novel process of a base catalyzed alcoholysis reaction between jojoba oil and an alcohol, such as isopropyl alcohol.
