  • Patent number: 7614812
Abstract: A substantially dry wiper having first and second substrate webs joined together in a face-to-face configuration with at least one primary capsule between the two substrate webs is disclosed. The primary capsule encapsulates a primary agent that is released from the capsule upon the occurrence of a primary triggering event. A method for using such a wiper to clean a surface is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7485609
Abstract: A personal cleansing article having a capsule and a liquid cleansing composition contained within the capsule is disclosed. The capsule is made to contain a trigger such that upon the occurrence of a specific event, the liquid cleansing composition is released from the capsule. A method for personal cleansing using such an article is also disclosed. Additionally, a method for manufacturing a foaming liquid cleansing composition is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20030171056
Abstract: A hydraulically entangled nonwoven fabric that includes recycled synthetic fibers and fiber-like materials having at least one thread element composed of synthetic material with at least one irregular distortion generated by hydraulic fracture of the thread element to separate it from a bonded fibrous material while the bonded fibrous material is suspended in a liquid. This material may be used as a wiper or an absorbent material. A method of forming the material includes the steps of: (a) providing a layer of recycled synthetic fibers and fiber-like materials having at least one thread element composed of synthetic material containing at least one irregular distortion generated by hydraulic fracture of the thread element to separate it from a bonded fibrous material while the bonded fibrous material is suspended in a liquid; (b) hydraulically entangling the layer to form a nonwoven web; and (c) drying the web.

  • Publication number: 20020115370
Abstract: A hydraulically entangled nonwoven composite structure that includes a matrix of substantially continuous filaments; and recycled synthetic fibers and fiber-like materials having at least one thread element composed of synthetic material with at least one irregular distortion generated by hydraulic fracture of the thread element to separate it from a bonded fibrous material while the bonded fibrous material is suspended in a liquid. This nonwoven composite structure may be used as a wiper or an absorbent material.

  • Publication number: 20010020626
Abstract: The present invention provides a napkin assembly for a dispenser. The napkin assembly may include a first napkin sheet further including a plurality of napkins and a second napkin sheet further including a plurality of napkins. Each napkin of both sheets having a basis weight from about 20 gsm to about 40 gsm may be connected to an adjacent napkin in series by a plurality of tabs. The second napkin sheet may be positioned proximate to the first napkin sheet in an offset relation and the first and second napkin sheets may be formed into a nested configuration for dispensing.

  • Patent number: 6161795
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a jumbo roll of material having an axis of rotation, the dispenser including a housing adapted to receive a jumbo roll of material. A first drive assembly is provided, the first drive assembly including a first belt. A second drive assembly is also provided, the second drive assembly including a second belt. The first drive assembly and the second drive assembly are positioned with respect to each other so that a surface of the first belt is proximate to a surface of the second belt, thereby forming a channel through which the material from the jumbo roll must pass to be dispensed from the dispenser. The channel additionally assists in retaining the material in a dispensing position.

  • Patent number: 5875985
Abstract: A coreless roll of product that is self-supporting in a rotary dispenser. The roll includes a rolled web of product that is wound throughout its diameter about a winding axis into a cylinder having first and second flat ends. At least one flat end defines a mounting hole at substantially the center of the winding axis of the coreless roll. The mounting hole has a depth and has sides generally perpendicular to the end of the roll. The sides are separated by a distance that is less than the depth of the hole such that the mounting hole is adapted to receive a plunger from a rotary dispenser. Methods of making the coreless roll are also described.
