  • Patent number: 12564186
Abstract: A climbing aid for climbing to an elevated vantage point while hunting. The climbing aid includes multiple units that can be fastened and unfastened from each other, wherein each unit forms a step of the climbing aid. Each unit includes a webbing of a tubular and an elongated geometry. The webbing has a proximal end and a distal end. A hollow tube slidably positioned at about the middle of the webbing, the tube has a proximal end and a distal end. A right link is positioned adjacent to the proximal end of the hollow tube. A left link is positioned adjacent to the distal end of the hollow tube. A right webbing slider is positioned between the right link and the proximal end of the webbing. A left webbing slider is positioned between the left link and the distal end of the webbing.

  • Patent number: 11849038
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for providing access to a recovery key of a managed device and rotating the recovery key after it has been accessed. In one example, among others, a system includes a computing device and program instructions. The program instructions can cause the computing device to authenticate a user on the computing device in order to unlock an operating system based on a first recovery key. A key rotation command can be received from the management service. The key rotation command can include an instruction to rotate the first recovery key. • Patent number: 11595208
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for providing access to a recovery key of a managed device and rotating the recovery key after it has been accessed. In one example, among others, a system includes a computing device and program instructions. The program instructions can cause the computing device to store a first recovery key for a first managed computing device. The first recovery key is configured to access an encrypted data store of the first managed computing device. A request is received for the first recovery key from a second managed computing device. The first recovery key is transmitted for display on the second managed computing device. A key rotation command is generated for a command queue of the first managed computing device to rotate the first recovery key after transmitting the first recovery key. The second recovery key is received from the second computing device.

  • Publication number: 20150378014
Abstract: Described herein are various technologies pertaining to detecting a vehicle in an image and determining a class of vehicle to which the vehicle belongs. In a general embodiment, the image is output by a radar-based imaging system, such as a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging system. The image is processed to generate a signature for the vehicle, the signature being a one-dimensional array. The class of the vehicle is determined based upon a comparison of the signature for the vehicle with a template signature for the class.

  • Publication number: 20150232822
Abstract: The present invention relates to mutant DNA polymerases that exhibit reduced discrimination against labeled nucleotides into polynucleotides. The DNA polymerases of the invention have at least one mutation in the nucleotide label interaction region of the enzyme such the mutation results in reduced discrimination against labeled nucleotides. The nucleotide label interaction regions is located at portions of the O-helix, (ii) the K helix, and (iii) the inter O-P helical loop of Taq DNA polymerase or analogous positions in other DNA polymerases. In addition to providing novel mutant DNA polymerases, the invention also provides polynucleotides encoding the subject mutant DNA polymerases. The polynucleotides provided may comprise expression vectors for the recombinant production of the mutant polymerases. The invention also provides host cells containing the subject polynucleotides.

  • Patent number: 8768288
Abstract: A personal communications device configured to communicate with a wide area network in response to an alternate mode activation signal is provided. The personal communications device also comprises a signal broker operatively connected to a monitored interface from among the one or more interfaces along a control path. The signal broker is configured to monitor signals at the monitored interface and upon observing an alternate mode activation signal at the monitored interface, inject an alternate mode signal configured to initiate the alternate communication over the wide area network. In some embodiments, the alternate communication is different from a communication that would have occurred in the absence of the injected alternate mode signal. The alternate mode signal may comprise an emergency mode signal configured to initiate an emergency communication over the wide area network. The emergency communication may comprise an SMS message, a telephone call, an HTTP command, an email, or the like.
