  • Patent number: 5771822
Abstract: The present invention describes a process for the disposal of residual substances from waste incineration plants as well as activated coke and/or activated carbon. For this purpose the residual substance as well as activated coke and/or activated carbon is introduced into the annular shaft (3) of the primary chamber (2) of the furnace (1). In the primary chamber (2) a temperature of 1250.degree. C. to 1500.degree. C. is set. The molten material flowing off leaves the primary chamber (2) together with the flue gases through the central outlet (4). The molten material is passed through the secondary chamber (5) and is discharged as slag.

  • Patent number: 4905614
Abstract: Waste materials, potentially following their comminution and potentially following their dying or, respectively, preheating, are burned in a cyclone kiln (buring cyclone or, melting cyclone) at extremely high temperatures above 1500.degree. C. with formation of a molten slag low in noxious substances and a hot exhaust gas in which latter the valuable substances and/or noxious substances contained in the waste materials volatilize, whereby dusts enriched with valuable substances on the one hand and, on the other hand, dusts enriched with noxious substances are respectively separately separated out of the exhaust gas by partial condensation.

  • Patent number: 4554053
Abstract: In a method of removing heavy tar produced in a coke oven during the cooling of a coke-oven gas from the coke-oven gas, the heavy tar pieces are crushed in a pulverizer to obtain particles of the size of less than 1 mm. The heavy tar particles are then rarefied by the addition to them of a mixture of tar and water. The resulting mixture is maintained under the temperature of 55.degree.-75.degree. C. and then transported to a charge coal which is then charged into the coke-oven.
