Abstract: A visor (10) comprises a main movable first visor part comprising back plate (12) and front plate (14) and an auxiliary sheet-like second visor part (16) therebetween. The sheet-like second visor part is carried on the first visor part (12, 14) by, for example, arms (30) to allow movement in the plane of the sheet. The arms (30) guide the auxiliary visor part (16) during movement downwards and sideways from a stowed position on the first visor part (12, 14). Alternatively, the auxiliary visor part may be guided by a V-shaped slot (54) or circular groove arrangement (140).
