  • Publication number: 20070189755
Abstract: A bulb assembly for a slit lamp microscope comprises a flash generator able to produce a flash of light, a synchroniser able to detect light from a camera flash, and a controller. The bulb assembly is arranged so that, in use, when the controller receives a signal from the synchroniser indicating light from a camera flash has been detected, the controller causes the flash generator to produce a slave flash of light. The bulb assembly may further comprise a light source and light from the light source may be focussed onto the flash generator so as to produce a virtual image of the light source in the same physical location as the flash generator.
