Abstract: A system for medication dispensing includes a syringe body having proximal and distal ends, a syringe interior, a syringe flange at the proximal end thereof, and a drug disposed in the syringe interior. The system also includes a finger flange coupled to the syringe flange and defining a finger flange interior and a side window therethrough. The system further includes a stopper member disposed in the syringe interior. Moreover, the system includes a plunger member coupled to the stopper member and disposed at least partially within the finger flange. In addition, the system includes a thumbpad coupled to a proximal end of finger flange and operatively coupled to the plunger member. The system also includes a cam configured to rotate a predetermined angular distance and a ratchet configured to advance the plunger member a predetermined longitudinal distance with each full advancement of the thumbpad into the finger flange.

Abstract: A safe injection system includes an injection system body defining a proximal opening at a proximal end thereof, an injection system body interior, and a needle attachment interface at a distal end thereof. The system also includes a stopper member disposed in the injection system body interior. The system further a plunger member configured to be manipulated to insert the stopper member relative to the injection system body. Moreover, the system includes a needle hub assembly coupled to the needle attachment interface. The needle hub assembly includes a needle hub defining a latch space in a distal end thereof, a needle latch defined by the needle hub in the latch space, and a needle removably coupled to the needle hub by the needle latch.

Abstract: An injection system includes an injection system body defining a proximal opening at a proximal end thereof and a distal needle interface at a distal end thereof. The system also includes proximal and distal stopper members disposed in the injection system body, forming a proximal drug and a distal drug chamber. The system further includes a plunger member configured to insert the proximal stopper member relative to the injection system body. Moreover, the system includes a valve forming an openable barrier between the distal needle interface and the distal drug chamber. The valve includes an outer member including a distal diaphragm, and an inner member. The distal diaphragm is configured to elastically deform distally away from the inner member with increased pressure in the distal drug chamber to allow flow from the distal drug chamber to the distal needle interface.
