  • Patent number: 8349139
Abstract: A pyrolysis apparatus and method for pyrolyzing plastic wastes to form a fuel and generating energy is described.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 2010
Date of Patent: January 8, 2013
    Assignee: All Grade Holdings Limited
    Inventor: Peter John Rolston
  • Publication number: 20120228113
Abstract: An apparatus and methods of using the apparatus are described to decompose plastic to form a fuel for use in generating energy such as electricity.
    Type: Application
    Filed: September 14, 2010
    Publication date: September 13, 2012
    Applicant: ALL GRADE HOLDINGS LIMITED
    Inventor: Peter John Rolston
  • Publication number: 20110224752
Abstract: Methods for treating a neurologic disorder by neurostimulation. The stimulation may be applied using electromagnetic energy. In certain embodiments, distributed electrical stimulation is applied to a target site of the brain in an ongoing fashion. A microelectrode array may be used to provide the distributed electrical stimulation. The method may also comprise the detection of electrophysiologic signals from the brain. These detected signals may be analyzed and used for closed-loop feedback of the neurostimulation. Also provided are systems for neurostimulation and software for operating such systems.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 27, 2009
    Publication date: September 15, 2011
Applicants: Emory University, Georgia Tech Research Corporation
Inventors: John Rolston, Robert Gross, Steve M. Potter
  • Patent number: 4289427
Abstract: A process for supporting the roof of a mine shaft includes drilling a hole into the roof and then inserting a multi-stranded cable into the hole. The cable has a duct therein to allow the exit of air during its insertion. During the insertion, the cable is rotated and a bonding agent is introduced into the annulus between it and the surface of the hole.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 7, 1979
Date of Patent: September 15, 1981
    Assignee: Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corporation
    Inventor: John A. Rolston
  • Patent number: 4238437
Abstract: A fiber-reinforced product or article and a method and apparatus for producing same are provided. For producing the product, a mold of the size and shape of the desired product has reinforcing fibers positioned therein, substantially in a form in which they will exist in the final product. Means are also located in the mold for forming channels in communication with the fibers to facilitate the flow of resin through the length of the mold and into the fibers. The channels greatly increase the rate of penetration of the resin into spaces between the fibers, particularly for elongate products of substantial length and limited transverse cross section. The channels also facilitate evacuation of air from the mold and aid in the escape of air dissolved in the resin which precedes the resin as the resin flows into the mold.
    Type: Grant
