  • Patent number: 9995257
Abstract: An exemplary intake manifold may include an upper manifold configured to receive fresh air, an EGR tube configured to introduce exhaust gas into the upper manifold to be mixed with the fresh air, and a lower manifold configured to distribute the mixture of the fresh air and the exhaust gas cylinders of the internal combustion engine. The upper manifold may include an upper shell and a lower shell that may cooperate to define at least one channel in which at least a portion of the EGR tube may be secured.

  • Publication number: 20100206396
Abstract: The invention relates to a pre-assembled constructional unit (1) of a fresh air system (2) for an internal combustion engine, especially of a motor vehicle. Said constructional unit comprises an electrical unit (3) having respective coils (5) for a plurality of cylinders of the internal combustion engine for actuating a fuel injection valve, said electrical unit having an electric wiring (6) for actuating the coils (5), a plurality of parallel insertion openings (10) that extend coaxially through the coils (5), and a plastic element (9) that is injection-molded on the coils (5) and the wiring (6).

  • Publication number: 20100139225
Abstract: The present invention relates to a filter housing (1) for the accommodation of at least one air filter element, in particular for a fresh air apparatus of an internal combustion machine, with two shell bodies (2, 3) made of synthetic material which each have a flange (6, 7) and which can be fastened to each other in the area of the flange (6, 7) by means of fastening elements (8). The fastening elements (8) are produced together with each shell body (2, 3) in a common mold by means of injection molding.

  • Patent number: 6397823
Abstract: An emission control system includes a purge valve mounted to an air intake manifold. An external wall defines an internal manifold space for distributing induction flow that has entered the manifold to be directed to the engine cylinders. A substantially cup shaped purge valve mount preferably extends from the external wall. A snap attachment assembly mounts the purge valve assembly into the mount for ease of purge valve assembly mounting and removal. The snap attachment assemblies preferably align the purge valve assembly within the mount to assure that the exhaust port communicates through exhaust aperture. To install the purge valve assembly into the mount, the purge valve assembly need only be pressed into the mount until and attachment member encounters an associated lock.
