Patent number: 6216312Abstract: A clean and capture tool 1 to service floor surfaces. The tool 1 includes brackets between which there extends a circular cleaning head 3. The head 3 includes an outer cover 6 below which there is located a rotatably driven arm 3 which directs water sprays at the floor surface. The cover 6 includes a downwardly facing peripheral channel 8 to which a vacuum is delivered to withdraw water and loosened dirt and waste material from the surface being cleaned.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 1999Date of Patent: April 17, 2001Assignee: Aussie Red Equipment Pty. Ltd.Inventor: Denis John Rowan

Patent number: 5757468Abstract: Apparatus and method for printing sound code icons on photographic prints produced from filmstrips having images with varying orientation, size and or format. A sound-on-print print gate includes a pair of selectable LED icon printers for printing a binary coded sound icon on either edge of the photographic print depending on normal or inverted image orientation. The icon printers are mounted for translational movement lengthwise of the print paper, the positioning being determined by the format of the print: panoramic, normal or HDTV aspect ratios. A computer controlled system is disclosed which determines the orientation, size and format and positions the icon printers in response thereto at the print gate.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 1996Date of Patent: May 26, 1998Inventors: David Lynn Patton, Stephen John Rowan, Cynthia Sue Bell

Patent number: 5694634Abstract: A method is described for communicating printing instructions on exposed photographic film to photo finishing equipment to enable imaging parameters to be set automatically which includes the steps of splicing a first exposed strip of film to a second exposed strip of film with a film-splicing label, encoding the label with low resolution indicia, and feeding the spliced first and second films to a film-splicing label reader for reading the code and automatically setting the parameters for printing. A film-splicing label encoded with indicia for identifying the scene orientation, the number of prints and/or whether sound is to be provided.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 1996Date of Patent: December 2, 1997Assignee: Eastman Kodak CompanyInventors: David Lynn Patton, Stephen John Rowan, Joseph Anthony Manico

Patent number: 4246557Abstract: A multipole circuit breaker having a single contact operating mechanism for all poles and a fault current sensing means for automatic tripping of the breaker is provided with alarm switch means to indicate when opening of the circuit breaker has been caused by a fault condition. The operating mechanism includes a metal frame to which a latchable cradle is pivotally mounted. The frame includes parallel guide slots through which a formed pin actuator extends to be moved by the cradle as it operates between its latched and released (tripped) positions. A spring connected between the mechanism frame and the pin actuator biases the latter toward the cradle. An insulating extension element is adjustably mounted on the actuator to transmit motion of the latter to operate a switch in an alarm circuit, in accordance with cradle position.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 1979Date of Patent: January 20, 1981Assignee: Gould Inc.Inventors: Anthony Michetti, Charles Warner, John Rowan
