  • Patent number: 9561459
Abstract: A filter cleaning device includes a cleaning chamber operable to receive a gas filter to be cleaned, the cleaning chamber having an inlet through which a gas flow can be admitted and an outlet for gas flow leaving the cleaning chamber, the inlet and outlet being arranged such that the airflow is forced to pass through at least a part of the filter when inserted, the filter cleaning device further comprising a mechanical agitation arrangement operable, in one mode of operation, to generate a linear oscillation along an axis of the filter when inserted and, in another mode of operation, to rotate the filter about an axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 8869608
Abstract: An environment monitoring system is described. In an example embodiment, an environment monitoring system includes a portable environment monitor configured to provide environment information to a plurality of applications, including a first application. The portable environment monitor includes a sensor and an antenna. The sensor is configured to monitor a characteristic of an environment proximate the sensor. The antenna is configured to form an interface with a mobile device. The portable environment monitor is configured to transmit environment information to the mobile device such that the environment information is provided to the first application located on the mobile device. The first application is configured to process the environment information and display data on a display of the mobile device based at least in part on the environment information. The environment information is based at least in part on the characteristic of the environment monitored by the sensor.

  • Patent number: 8800361
Abstract: An environment monitor is described. In an example embodiment, an environment monitor includes an outer housing, an inner housing, and an environment sensor. The inner housing is slidingly positioned relative to the outer housing. The inner housing is configured to be selectively positioned at a first position relative to the outer housing and selectively positioned at a different second position relative to the outer housing. The environment sensor is configured to monitor a characteristic of an environment proximate the sensor. The sensor is positioned on the inner housing such that the environment sensor is at least partially positioned within the outer housing when the inner housing is at the first position relative to the outer housing, and is positioned outside the outer housing when the inner housing is at the second position relative to the outer housing.

  • Patent number: 7424970
Abstract: A system and method for creating digital currency has a first automated teller machine operably connected to a central computer. A program initiated on the first automated teller machine with an initiation button functions to enable the first automated teller machine to receive physical currency with a currency scanner, to determine a sum of currency. The program then signals the central computer to create an account in a database, and to create a unique alphanumeric code associated with the account. The account includes the sum of currency. The unique alphanumeric code includes a first portion that includes the sum of currency in digital form, and a second portion that is random or user determined.

  • Publication number: 20080203150
Abstract: A method for creating digital currency has the steps of providing a server operably connected to the network; receiving into the server a transmission from one of the automated teller machines via the network that a sum of currency has been received into the currency scanner of the automated teller machine; creating an account automatically by the server in response to the receipt of the transmission; storing the sum of currency in digital form in the account; generating a unique alphanumeric code; associating the unique alphanumeric code with the account; and transmitting the unique alphanumeric code to a recipient.
