    Abstract: In order to aid in the instructions of the service stroke in tennis, a tennis ball is releasably held by suction at the mouth of a suspended supple hose at the proper height to be stroked by a tennis racquet as in serving. The ball is easily released from the restraining force of the suction upon impact by the tennis racquet.
