  • Patent number: 8926326
Abstract: A denture retention system includes a denture, abutments and an implant connected to each abutment. The denture has an inner channel with a resilient liner and engaging caps in the inner channel that releasably retain the denture on the abutments. The engaging caps each have a cavity that receives the head of an abutment. The cavities are sized with longitudinal space for the heads of the abutments so that the denture rests on the gingival tissue while the abutments restricts movement of the denture away from the gingival tissue. The system can be used with large diameter or mini implants. The separate implant and abutment allow precise selection of the abutment height. The abutment has a spherical head with tool engageable flats for tightening the abutment onto the implant.

  • Patent number: 5040573
Abstract: Apparatus and method are disclosed for forming a loop in a wire that is particularly suited for attaching a wire to a ceiling suspension bracket and allow free swinging movement of the wire on the bracket. The apparatus includes a wire storage and feed bin, support for each wire during the loop forming, a twist member, a control head that moves the wire to form a bend, a drive that rotates the twist member through a selected number of revolutions to twist the bend to form the loop, coils and a tail in the wire. Surface portions of the control head confine the movement of the wire during the formation of the coils and loop. A control circuit for the drive motor causes the motor to turn only a selected number of revolutions to form a selected number of coils. A final positioning assembly causes the twist member to stop at the same position after each loop forming operation.

  • Patent number: 4799643
Abstract: Shelf brackets are each in the form of a unitary body which has a vertical back wall. Defined in the body is a platform that projects outwardly away from the back wall a given distance and is inclined in the outward direction upwardly at an angle substantially between one-half and five degrees with respect to the back wall. Also defined in the body is a ledge that projects outwardly away from that back wall generally parallel to the platform. The ledge is spaced above the platform by an amount to accommodate receipt of a shelf board inserted between the platform and the ledge. Defined in the body is an opening for enabling securement of the body to a mounting surface. A further feature is an enlargement communicating outwardly from that opening that forms a channel which may accommodate receipt of an end of a hanger or the like. As shown, the ledge does not project as far outwardly as the platform.

  • Patent number: 4461408
Abstract: A dispenser is intended to be used with a container of glue that enables pressurized outflow of the glue from an upstanding neck that is threaded to receive the dispenser. A cap threads upon the neck and has an annular top wall. A hollow snout of resilient material projects upward from the top wall and terminates in an opening that defines a valve seat. A guideway in the snout slidably accepts a rod on the upper end of which is a valve. Encircling the lower end portion of the rod is a ring so sized as to be seatable against the top wall of the cap. A plurality of resilient webs are circumferentially distributed in a normal plane and integrally extend between the ring and the rod with each of those webs generally defining a partial spiral and the webs together enabling longitudinal movement of the rod when the ring is seated against the top wall of the cap.
