  • Publication number: 20210060292
Abstract: Disclosed is a multi-lumen catheter having a distal end catheter tip configured to improve fluid flow into and out from the catheter tip while reducing undesired recirculation during hemodialysis treatment of a patient. A first lumen and a second lumen each extends from the catheter proximal end to the catheter distal end, the first lumen and the second lumen being parallel to each other. A septum having a first side and a second side separates the first lumen from the second lumen. Some embodiments of the catheter tip include a beveled shape region, having a first lumen orifice, a second lumen orifice, and a septum top surface. Within the beveled shape region, at least a portion of the septum first side and at least a portion of the septum top surface form a first eave over the first lumen and at least a portion of the septum second side and at least a portion of the septum top surface form a second eave over the second lumen.

  • Patent number: 10778008
Abstract: As the density of Electric Vehicle deployments in residential neighborhoods increase, demand on local power grids may exceed the local utility power supply causing local brown outs or transformer failure. • Patent number: 10754645
Abstract: Improved techniques for asynchronously displaying the results of a codebase analysis service are provided herein. Initially, machine learning is applied to a corpus of model code. In doing so, a machine learning model is generated, where the model identifies coding practices that are included in the corpus of model code. After this model is generated, then the model is applied to a current codebase by comparing coding practices of the current codebase to the identified coding practices that were extracted, or rather identified, from the corpus of model code. Then, in response to detecting one or more differences between the current codebase's coding practices and the identified coding practices, where the differences satisfy a pre-determined difference threshold, a user interface is caused to display one or more insights. These insights beneficially provide additional detailed information describing the differences.

  • Publication number: 20200256182
Abstract: Tools and method for automatically controlling torque when making-up and/or breaking-down threaded connections between downhole assets such as drill pipe, drill collars, and BHA components. An iron roughneck may be controlled by, for instance, automatically monitoring and adjusting the fluid pressure of cylinders that ultimately provide the torque to the downhole assets. The torque may further be automatically controlled by automatically identifying the downhole assets and selecting a corresponding torque profile or target torque. Clamping force may also be controlled, and is optionally proportional to the target torque.

  • Publication number: 20200130938
Abstract: A positive displacement sorter and method of diverting articles includes a conveying surface configured to convey articles in a longitudinal direction and at least one diagonal take-away lane, extending diagonally from the conveying surface to receive articles being diverted from said conveying surface. A plurality of pushers are configured to move together in a lateral direction in order to displace an item on the conveying surface to the diagonal take-away lane. A rotational system is configured to rotate a leading portion of a diverted article in the direction of the take-away lane. A belt drive system is provided for driving live roller conveyors about a curved section of a roller conveyor of the sorter. The drive belt is guided along a single conical drive plane that maintains the orientation of the drive belt relative to the single conical drive plane and limits twisting and stress in the drive belt.

  • Patent number: 10479474
Abstract: Provided are wingtip torque boxes and methods of fabricating such boxes using friction stir welding. Specifically, a wingtip torque box may be formed by friction stir welding two monolithic clamshells along their respective spars thereby forming a new monolithic structure. Use of the friction stir welding and monolithic clamshells simplifies the overall fabrication process and yields a robust wingtip torque box that can be bolted on or otherwise attached to an aircraft wing. The wingtip torque box may include internal grid stiffeners and/or external stiffeners that may be also monolithic with other components of the box. For example, the stiffeners may be machined in spars or skin portions of the clamshells during fabrication of clamshells. The wingtip torque box may have a continuous cavity extending between the ends and, in some embodiments, between spars of the box and providing access for performing various operations inside the box.

  • Patent number: 10437938
Abstract: Disclosed is a parametric feature-based 3D CAD system that allows multiple users to simultaneously edit a parametric feature-based 3D CAD model consisting of 3D parts and assemblies of those parts (3D Model). Several CAD users, each using their own computer, phone, or tablet, can edit the same 3D Model at the same time. Editing may be separate and simultaneous—there is no need for users to worry about locking, checking out, or otherwise restricting each other's access to 3D Models. As a result, users see each other's changes occur in real-time, and may also identify what aspects other users are actively modifying through visible Collaboration Cues.

  • Patent number: 10435775
Abstract: Methods of refining the grain size of titanium and titanium alloys include multiple upset and draw forging. Titanium and titanium alloy workpieces are heated to a workpiece forging temperature within a workpiece forging temperature range in the alpha+beta phase field. The workpiece may comprise a starting cross-sectional dimension. The workpiece is upset forged in the workpiece forging temperature range. After upsetting, the workpiece is multiple pass draw forged in the workpiece forging temperature range. Multiple pass draw forging may comprise incrementally rotating the workpiece in a rotational direction followed by draw forging the workpiece after each incremental rotation. Incrementally rotating and draw forging the workpiece is repeated until the workpiece comprises substantially the same starting cross-sectional dimension.
