Abstract: A system and method of coordinating a visual display with audio advertisements broadcast over a communications network such as the Internet is provided. A run-time procedure in which the visual display is retrieved and concurrently displayed at about the time the audio advertisement is broadcast is described. In addition, a set-up procedure, in which scheduled broadcast times for the audio advertisements are captured and provided for use in scheduling the broadcasts of the corresponding visual displays, is also described. The system and method can be beneficially employed in other environments, such as the case in which a first audio, visual, or audiovisual segment or stream is coordinated with a predetermined second audio, visual, or audiovisual segment or stream, and a selected one of the first and second segments or streams includes or comprises advertising material.

Abstract: A group of 4-substituted-5-nitroimidazoles is described, having effective antiprotozoal activity with much less mutagenicity than is shown by known 5-nitroimidazoles.

Abstract: The invention relates to novel 1,2-disubstituted-4-nitroimidazole compounds that are useful as potent antiprotozoal agents and simultaneously possess non-mutagenicity as compared to known 4- or 5-nitroimidazole compounds. Also, compositions and methods for antiprotozoal uses of said novel 1,2-disubstituted-4-nitroimidazole compounds are disclosed herein.

Abstract: There are disclosed certain new derivatives of C-076 compounds which have been isolated from the livers of animals that had been administered ivermectin and the in vitro incubation of such compounds with animal liver preparations. The compounds retain the basic ivermectin structure, however, 24-methyl group has been oxidized to a hydroxy methyl group and, in some of the new compounds the disaccharide substituent of the starting materials has been cleaved to a monosaccharide moiety. The new compounds have been found to retain the biological activity of the parent C-076 compounds. The compounds are thus potent antiparasitic agents and compositions and methods for such uses are also disclosed.
