The removable labels are a combination of photoluminescent with reflective.     Abstract: A radio-frequency transparent window having internal conduits for the passage of cooling fluid is configured for simulating a highly uniform thermal environment for testing a device intended for use in space. The device to be tested is placed within a chamber in which a vacuum condition is maintained by a radio-frequency transparent pressure window under a pressure seal. Within the chamber, the thermal window is positioned adjacent, but not in contact with, the pressure window. A radio frequency signal is capable of passing directly through both the thermal window and the pressure window to permit communication with the device being tested within the housing. The thermal window is not in contact with the device so there in no conduction of heat from the device. Radiant heat transfer may occur from the device to the thermal window.

    Abstract: A sign structure having a display, movable member and computer means creates a unique vehicle for displaying content. In one version, the movable member is adjacent to the display and substantially shields a portion of the display as it traverses thereover. Coordinated content transmitted to the display gives the appearance that the movable member is influencing the displayed content. For example, as the member moves upward an image below the member stretches in size while an image above the member compresses in size until the upper image disappears and the lower image occupies the entire visible portion of the display. This continues as the member traverses up and down over the display. The member may appear to manipulate the images by stretching, compressing, pushing, pulling and/or erasing them.

    Abstract: An overhead arcade-like light display is disclosed. The display comprises a canopy of an open framework with elongated linear raceways containing electrical wiring and supporting thousands of bulbs gathered in groups of four identified herein as pixels. Pixels are closely and regularly spaced. The raceways are linearly positioned running the length of said arcade and placed parallel to one another to position themselves to become the interior arcuate frame structure. Each pixel is covered with a light diffusing dome and the individual bulbs are of a different color so that colors, shades, tones and hues of a thousand varieties may be obtained from each domed pixel. A display having in excess of one million bulbs with minimal wind resistance is readily constructible.

    Abstract: An improved valve coupling method and apparatus is provided that resists the many forces associated with constant insertion and removal of access keys. The coupler apparatus is made of a non-corrosive metal alloy and includes a pair of specially formed integrated vertical wings which extend out in a tangential, as opposed to radial, direction from opposite sides of the coupler. Each of the wings is offset and includes at least one horizontal shelf portion. When buried in the soil, the vertical wings provide the coupler with frictional resistance to the screwing and unscrewing rotational forces imparted whenever a key is inserted or removed from the coupler, or from the movement of a hose attached to the key. Similarly, the horizontal shelf portions provide lateral support to resist the downward and upward forces associated with insertion and removal of a key, or contact with lawn maintenance equipment.

    Abstract: Data is promoted from a backing store (disk storage apparatus termed DASD) to a random access cache in a peripheral data storage system. When a sequential access bit is sent to the storage system, all data specified in a read command is fetched to the cache from DASD. If such prefetched data is replaced from cache and the sequential bit is on, a subsequent host access request for such data causes all related data, up to a predetermined maximum, not yet read to be promoted to cache.

Each device can be independently addressed by any one of a plurality of addresses, also termed logical devices and exposures. Since operations between DASD and cache are combined for all of the independent logical devices, resetting operations related to one independent logical device can inadvertently interfere with operations of another independent logical device. To maintain data integrity, a programmed control accommodates logical device independence by using queues and control blocks relating to the DASD and logical devices, respectively.
