  • Patent number: 7541988
Abstract: A wireless device is disclosed, including an antenna system comprising one or more antenna elements for sending and receiving a wireless signal. One or more conductive members are included, having an edge displaced from and substantially directed toward the at least one antenna element, and cooperating therewith to establish a multiplicity of hemispherical beam patterns for a wireless signal. Embodiments with a multiplicity of antenna elements exhibit a high degree of isolation between said antenna elements.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 6, 2006
Date of Patent: June 2, 2009
Inventors: John Sanelli, Stephen V. Saliga, David M. Theobold

  • Patent number: 6992641
Abstract: A wireless telecommunications device is disclosed including a first antenna element for transmitting and receiving a first wireless telecommunications signal and a second antenna element for transmitting and receiving a second wireless telecommunications signal. A radio transceiver is provided for generating the first and second wireless telecommunications signals. The radio transceiver is configured for generating the first and second wireless telecommunications signals on substantially the same wireless band in such a way as to produce phase cancellation along a predetermined boundary. Preferably, the predetermined boundary is a plane of symmetry between the first and second antenna elements.
