Abstract: The example embodiments relate to fitness devices. The example embodiments provide improved user interfaces for interacting with such devices. In an embodiment, a method is disclosed for synchronizing audio with a fitness activity. In an embodiment, a method is disclosed for providing a tag or chase function within a fitness activity. Various embodiments relating to the display of leaderboard data within a fitness activity are likewise disclosed.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to improvements in fitness device displays. In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a method including: initiating, by a fitness device, a short-range wireless connection with a display device; adjusting, by the fitness device, at least one operating parameter; broadcasting, by the fitness device, an identifier of the fitness device to the display device while the at least one operating parameter is being adjusted; and establishing, by the fitness device, a connection with the display device after a user of the fitness device selects the identifier when displayed on the display device.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments are directed toward improvements in user interfaces of fitness devices. In one embodiment, an improved user interface (UI) is disclosed whereby controls for adjusting the physical metrics of a fitness device are conveniently located. In another embodiment, a multimedia content functionality is described wherein users of fitness devices can record multimedia content and associate that multimedia content with metrics associated with exercise activity. In another embodiment, a fitness device is capable of streamlining multimedia content during the performance of an activity and can adjust multimedia streams during such an activity.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments are directed toward improvements in visualization of metrics generated by fitness devices. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed comprising receiving, at a fitness device over a network, activity data from a server, the activity data comprising data reported by other fitness devices during participation in an activity; extracting, by the fitness device, user data, position data, and output data from the activity data; and rendering, by the fitness device, a visualization of the activity data, the rendering comprising: rendering icons representing the user data relative to a baseline, a distance of each of the icons to the baseline determined based on the output data and spacing between the icons determined based on the position data, and rendering a curve, the curve connected to each of the icons.

Abstract: Holders for supporting portable handheld electronic devices, such as but not limited to iPhones®, IPODS®, IPADS™, cellular phones, and the like. An embodiment has an upper compartment on a backplate with sleeve edges that allow both a retractable cord and headpiece (earphones, headset) to be both stored inside when not being used. A spring loaded type rewinder on the backplate with sleeve edges automatically retracts both the cord and headpiece into the compartment where a hinge attached lid hides and protects both the cord and headpiece when not being used. The backplate with sleeve edges can include an internal inwardly protruding male prong that is attached to cord so that sliding the portable handheld electronic device into the sleeve edges plugs the prong into a female socket on the portable handheld electronics device, and sliding the device out removes the socket from about the male prong.
