Publication number: 20240132387Abstract: Methods and systems are described for treating a fluid that includes a particulate fraction and a soluble fraction, such as wastewater fluid including biosolids. The treatment includes biochemically transforming solids in the particulate fraction of the fluid in a biochemical process while simultaneously subjecting the fluid to a vacuum pressure, and evaporating off at least a portion of the soluble fraction of the fluid and thereby thickening a remaining portion of the fluid. A residence time of the particulate fraction can be controlled to be at least 25% greater than a residence time of the soluble fraction, for example. A solids content of the particulate fraction can be controlled to be in a range of from 2% to 99%, for example.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 2, 2024Publication date: April 25, 2024Applicant: U.S. PEROXIDE, LLCInventors: Domenico SANTORO, Tie MAO, John R. Publication number: 20140155218Abstract: According to at least one exemplary embodiment, an axial fan drive and hub assembly is disclosed. The assembly can include a drive unit having a planetary gear arrangement, and a fan hub coupleable to the drive unit. A sun gear of the gear arrangement can be driven by an input shaft, while either the planet gear carrier or the ring gear may be selected to be the output. The assembly can thus facilitate rotating a fan in the same or the opposite direction of rotation as the input shaft. The drive unit can further be easily interchangeable with other drive units having different gear ratios.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2013Publication date: June 5, 2014Inventor: John Santoro
