Abstract: A system for automatically sorting and dispensing packages includes a first conveyor system, a gate assembly with a plurality of chutes, a second conveyor system that receives a plurality of packages selectively dispensed from the gate assembly, a sensor that senses a characteristic of the plurality of packages, an electronic controller, a vibration system that includes a vibrator plate and a vibrator motor, and a sensor system that includes sensor system sensors configured to communicate with the vibrator motor. The plurality of chutes each include a gate moveable between a first position, in which a group of packages are held within the respective chute, and a second position, in which the group of packages are released from the respective chute onto the second conveyor system.
