  • Publication number: 20240134260
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a mixed illumination system including: a first light source; a second light source of different type than the first light source, where the wavelength an output of the second light source does not overlap with the wavelength of an output of the first light source; and a combiner which is configured to combine the output of the first light source and the second light source. The light from the first light source and the second light source are combined within the combiner into a combined beam.

  • Publication number: 20070073436
Abstract: The invention is an autonomous robot configured with audio and video display mechanisms for displaying advertisements to an audience. The advertisement data may be stored locally within the robot, transmitted through a wired docking/recharging station or provided via the Internet, through a wired or wireless connection. The robot can receive different forms of digital signals and information such as digital photos or video and output to the display, and it can receive control commands and messages from the server and/or another robot. The server can be located on site or control the robot through Internet. The robot is able to distinguish the target individuals or groups as adults, children, or physical objects, and will provide different actions such as singing songs, dancing, playing music or the like to attract the attention of the target audience for the purpose of displaying adverting material.

  • Publication number: 20070004449
Abstract: The invention relates to a mobile communication device such as a cellular phone or wireless personal digital assistant (PDA) that incorporates environmental monitoring sensors to detect such factors as humidity, temperature and ultraviolet (UV) radiation levels. The invention integrates these key environmental sensors into a module that is integrated with a mobile phone or, in one embodiment, may be adapted as a separate device in wireless communication with a mobile phone or other mobile communication device. Integration is accomplished by the use of a microprocessor control unit and may employ an op-amplifier and analog-to-digital converter for certain data streams.

  • Publication number: 20060221182
Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly for installing and maintaining a camera at the entrance door of a house or at an interior door, and for monitoring and recording activity occurring outside of the location. The invention is a complete, easily installed security unit incorporating a miniature CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) or CCD (charged-coupled device) camera with sufficient memory storage to retain video and/or audio recordings for security and for message-taking purposes. The apparatus of the unit includes (1) a miniature CMOS/CCD camera with microphone, (2) printed circuit board (PCB) circuits; (3) memory storage; (4) a display device secured to an interior surface of the door; (5) a motion sensor for triggering the operation of the device, and (6) a tube for passing through the door and keeping the components in operable engagement with each other.

  • Publication number: 20050150073
Abstract: The invention relates to a valve assembly for use in connection with carpet cleaning extraction machines and similar extraction cleaning devices. The invention allows the intake of liquid and the mixing of different liquids in a mixing chamber, such as clean water with detergent, and the discharge of a selected liquid without the formation of an air or vapor lock that would inhibit the discharge of the selected liquid. In particular, the invention prevents the formation of a vapor lock when water is being drawn into a chamber that would prevent the subsequent discharge or spraying of the liquid.
