  • Publication number: 20060270440
Abstract: A network for power transmission to a receiver that converts the power into current includes a first node for transmitting power wirelessly in a first area. The first area has a minimum electric or magnetic field strength. The network includes a second node for transmitting power wirelessly in a second area. The second area has a minimum electric or magnetic field strength and overlaps the first area to define an overlap area. In another embodiment, the network includes a source in communication with the first and second nodes which provides power to them. Also disclosed are methods for power transmission to a receiver that converts the power into current.

  • Publication number: 20060199620
Abstract: A transmitter for transmitting power to a receiver to power a load, where the receiver does not have a DC-DC converter. The transmitter comprises a pulse generator for producing pulses of power. The transmitter comprises an antenna in communication with the pulse generator through which the pulses are transmitted from the transmitter. A system for power transmission which transmits only pulses of power without any data. A method for transmitting power to a receiver to power a load. An apparatus for transmitting power to a receiver to power a load comprises a plurality of transmitters, each of which produce pulses of power which are received by the receiver to power the load. A system for power transmission which receives pulses of power transmitted by the power transmitter to power a load but does not use the pulses as a clock signal.

  • Publication number: 20060164866
Abstract: An apparatus for a wireless power supply including a mechanism for receiving a range of RF radiation across a collection of frequencies. The apparatus includes a mechanism for converting the RF radiation across the collection of frequencies, preferably at a same time into DC. A method for a wireless power supply including the steps of receiving a range of RF radiation across a collection of frequencies. There is the step of converting the RF radiation across the collection of frequencies, preferably at a same time into DC.

  • Publication number: 20050234407
Abstract: The fluid delivery system generally includes a source of injection fluid, a pump device a fluid path set disposed between the source of injection fluid and the pump device, and a fluid control device. The fluid path set includes a multi-position valve. The fluid control device is operatively associated with the fluid path set and includes a valve actuator adapted to operate the multi-position valve. The valve actuator is adapted to close the multi-position valve to isolate the pump device from a patient and stop flow of the injection fluid to the patient at substantially any pressure or flow rate generated by the pump device for delivering a sharp bolus of the injection fluid to the patient. The valve actuator is generally adapted to selectively place the pump device in fluid communication with the source of injection fluid for supplying the injection fluid to the pump device and the patient.

  • Patent number: 5016141
Abstract: A device (24) for edge-locking printed circuit wiring boards (12, 14) within a support chassis (10) has an elongated clamping body (40) with deformable clamping strips (42, 44), one at each side of the body (40). The clamping body (40) is located on the top surface of a central wall (32) having sloping sides which is integral with a support chassis (10) cross-wall. Screws (36) on advancing into the body, (40) pull the clamping strips (42, 44) onto the central wall (32) deforming the strips into pressure contact with the wiring board (12, 13) edge portions. An alternative version substitute at least two ferrules (46) for the central wall (32).

  • Patent number: 4312280
Abstract: A system and method for increasing the sulfation capacity of alkaline earth carbonates to scrub sulfur dioxide produced during the fluidized bed combustion of coal in which partially sulfated alkaline earth carbonates are hydrated in a fluidized bed to crack the sulfate coating and convert the alkaline earth oxide to the hydroxide. Subsequent dehydration of the sulfate-hydroxide to a sulfate-oxide particle produces particles having larger pore size, increased porosity, decreased grain size and additional sulfation capacity. A continuous process is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 3977657
Abstract: A mixer for particulate solid material including a hollow casing of polygonal e.g. square or triangular cross-section, the casing having two or more materials fed to it and having disposed therein at least one set of partitions which divide the casing up into a plurality of channels also of polygonal cross-section, the shape of the channels generally being the same as the shape of the casing, some, but not all, of the channels, having a redistributor therein which will allow the material flowing therethrough to be redistributed across the cross-section of that channel. The redistributor disclosed is a generally helical element which is shaped so as to fill the polygonal section of the channel into which it is fitted.
