  • Publication number: 20180268540
Abstract: A method for indicating and computing displacement of Elements with respect to corresponding Design Locations of the Elements. The method comprising loading, through a data interface, data describing a set of measurements (Measurement Data) of one or more Elements in a Scene. The method further comprising receiving data describing the geometry of one or more Elements (Design Models) that are expected to exist in the Scene. The method further comprising receiving data describing the Design Location(s) of these Elements. The method further comprising enabling a user to place a graphical representation of the Design Model in an Approximate Installed Location indicated by the Measurement Data. The method further comprising measuring and reporting the spatial differences between the Design Location and an Approximate Installed Location as indicated by the user-positioned graphical representation of the Design Model.

  • Patent number: 9703984
Abstract: A system may include a database, a processor coupled to the database, and a user module executed by the processor. The user module may be configured to receive a value for an attribute of a user and determine whether the value is derived from an assessment sponsored by an organization associated with the user. When the value is derived from the assessment sponsored by the organization associated with the user, the user module may store the received value in the database in a record associated with the user only and in a record associated with the organization and the user. When the value is derived from the assessment not sponsored by an organization associated with the user, the user module may store the received value in the database in the record associated with the user only.

  • Patent number: 8575921
Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring the movement of a piston disposed within a housing comprises a pin which is responsive to the axial movements of a piston in the housing, the pin having an end which is magnetically coupled to a first ring magnet slidably disposed on a magnet carrier of an indicator body, a second ring magnet disposed on the magnet carrier having its poles oriented so as to repel the first ring magnet, and a retainer for holding the first and second ring magnets on the magnet carrier is described. Additionally, a method for operating the cycle indicator apparatus is also provided. The housing is comprised of one or a plurality of ports through which lubricants are delivered to one or a plurality of corresponding points within a machine.

  • Patent number: 7745382
Abstract: It is known by the inventor that a universal synthetic lubricant additive that can greatly enhance the performance standards of existing lubricants, petroleum based or synthetic, imparts a new and desirable property not originally present in the existing oil or it reinforces a desirable property already possessed in some degree can greatly benefit the consumer. Although additives of many diverse types have been developed to meet special lubrication needs, their principal functions are relatively few in number.

  • Patent number: 6373957
Abstract: A loudspeaker comprises a motor stator providing an air gap, a voice coil, a support for supporting the voice coil in the air gap, a diaphragm coupled to the voice coil for reciprocation with the voice coil, and a frame for supporting the diaphragm. The motor stator comprises a back wall and a sidewall defining a somewhat cup-shaped interior, and a center pole comprising a permanent magnet. The center pole comprises a thermally relatively less conductive material. A passageway is provided through the center pole. A heat sink has a first portion for surmounting the center pole. The first portion is oriented adjacent the air gap. A second portion is coupled to the first portion in heat conducting relation and extends through the passageway to conduct heat away from the air gap through the passageway. The first and second portions comprise a thermally relatively more conductive material.

  • Patent number: 5140877
Abstract: A hexagonal wrench is provided with three equally spaced grooves of varying depth adjacent an end of the wrench to define three flat side ball-shaped members, the end ball of which is adapted to be inserted in a complementary hexagonal socket of a screw-threaded member. The grooves vary successively in depth with the groove furthest from the end being the shallowest groove so as to provide increased resistance to breakage. A modified hexagonal wrench is comprised of a stub shank of hexagonal cross-sectional configuration secured to an end of a flat elongated strip to facilitate operation of the wrench in areas of small clearance.
