  • Publication number: 20120036131
Abstract: A method for obtaining and analyzing information objects including generating, collecting or discovering information objects. The information objects are signified at least in part using deliberately ambiguated signifier prompts, for example, linear scale opposing negatives or positives, and/or multi-dimensional signifier prompts. The information objects may comprise text or non-text fragments, and may be generated or selected. The responses to the signifier prompts are stored with the fragments to provide a dataset of signified fragments. The signified fragments may be analyzed based on the signifiers and can be utilized as part of an explorable knowledge repository, or objective measures can be created to aid in mass opinion capture or human attitude auditing. The fragments may be represented on a graphical template.

  • Publication number: 20070154611
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a lupin-sourced protein-enriched preparation comprising the steps of: (a) solubilising the proteins from lupin meal using alkaline conditions, (b) precipitating the solubilised proteins, and (c) solubilising the precipitated proteins of step (b); from which lupin milk and derived products is made through (a) diluting the lupin-sourced protein-enriched preparation, and (b) blending fat, carbohydrate, and whitening ingredients to achieve desired organoleptic and nutritional qualities.

  • Patent number: 7136791
Abstract: We describe here a system and method which makes use of “narrative patterns” to assess and affect the state of affairs within and among given organizations and communities with respect to given issues or objectives. Narrative patterns are conceptual structures that result from common sensemaking around narrative material elicited from the given organizations and communities and relevant to the given issues or objectives. Through the facilitated emergence of such narrative patterns, options for response are formed and evaluated. Response options include the creation and use of purposeful stories, story repositories, and other resources derived from the collected narrative material.

  • Publication number: 20030200595
Abstract: A support adapted to be placed on a person's leg such that it can contact the backs of the user's upper and lower leg includes a surface that is conformed to the user's leg, renders the support more comfortable to use and more effective in supporting the user's leg. The support is structured so that any tendency for the support to move or rotate relative to the user's leg is minimized. The support may include a raised portion or is otherwise shaped to inhibit movement or rotation. The support may have a first surface portion shaped to conform to a calf area of the rear of the lower leg and a second surface portion shaped to conform to an Achilles tendon area of the rear of the lower leg.

  • Publication number: 20030195447
Abstract: A shoulder supporter that retains the wearer's shoulder in a desired position is constructed so that it is more comfortable to wear and easier to put on and take off. The supporter has a first strap to extend about a shoulder and a second strap coupled to the first strap for anchoring at least a portion of the first strap in an anchoring location whereby the first and second straps cooperate to maintain the shoulder in the desired position. The second strap may be configured as a torso strap. The supporter may also have a release mechanism coupled to one of the straps and is operable from a side adjacent the front of the torso for releasing at least one of the straps. In this manner, the shoulder can move relatively unrestrained from the desired position. The supporter may also include elastic element adapted to exert a variable locating force on a shoulder such that, as the shoulder moves further away from the desired position, the force on the shoulder increases.
