Abstract: A brace for a folding chair comprised two pieces of like construction with each piece having a support surface in a central portion of the brace sized and shaped to be fitted snugly about one side of a leg of a folding chair. Two flange portions straddle the central portion. One of the flange portions is formed with a groove and the other with a tongue of a shape and size to be fitted into the groove. Each section has a rectangular side panel 14 bounded by a bottom wall 15, a top wall 16, 16' and two side walls 17. The top walls 16, 16' each have a recessed portion 22, 25 through which articles contained within the case may be accessed. Brackets 26, 29, 30, 31, and 33, extending from the panels 14 of the case, are provided to hold toiletry articles within the case. The case also has venting holes 18 to allow moisture within the case to escape to ambience.

Abstract: Folding chairs have interlocking braces 27 and 28 that prevent relative movement between chairs in a stack. The braces have offset rear stops 30 and forward lugs 31. The braces are mounted to the sides of the legs such that they prevent sideways sliding movement of another chair stacked thereon and prevent lengthwise movement of chairs of like construction stacked thereon by the brace lugs of one chair striking the brace stops of the other.
