  • Publication number: 20250053738
Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure are directed to techniques that enable efficient automated text-to-speech pronunciation editing for long form text documents. A computing device comprising a memory and a processor may be configured to perform the techniques. The memory may store a text document. The processor may process words in the text document to identify first candidate words that are predicted to be mispronounced during automated text-to-speech processing of the text document. The processor may next filter the first candidate words to remove one or more candidate words of the first candidate words and obtain second candidate words that have fewer candidate words than the first candidate words. The processor may then annotate the text document to obtain an annotated text document that identifies the second candidate words, and output at least a portion of the annotated text document that identifies at least one candidate word of the second candidate words.

  • Patent number: 12208526
Abstract: Pick quality determination is disclosed, including: using a pressure meter to sense a pressure associated with an airflow through a gripper mechanism of a diverting mechanism over time during a pick operation on a target object; storing the sensed pressure associated with the airflow through the gripper mechanism over time as a pressure sequence associated with the pick operation on the target object; and correlating the pressure sequence with representative pressure sequences associated with corresponding pick quality types to determine whether the pick operation on the target object was successful or not.

  • Publication number: 20230402816
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a wafer bonding method for heterogenous integration of multiple wafers to a carrier substrate and bonding multiple functional wafers to the substrate to transfer semiconductor thin films. A routing layer for electrical or optical signals is defined on the substrate before a first wafer is bonded to the substrate and is optionally buried with subsequent planarization. Functional ridges are lithographically defined and etched after the first wafer is bonded to the substrate and a thin film is transferred to the substrate. A portion of the wafer surface is then cleared to expose the initial bonding surface on the substrate. A second wafer is bonded to the resulting material by etching pockets in the second functional wafer at the locations of the functional ridges from the first wafer bond.

  • Patent number: 11271023
Abstract: A quantum waveguide infrared photodetector includes: a photon absorption layer that receives infrared photons propagating longitudinally along a longitudinal length of the photon absorption layer, converts the infrared photons into electrons, and communicates the electrons to a conductor layer; a first conductor layer that receives a first electrical potential; and a second conductor layer that receives a second electrical potential, wherein electrons produced by the photon absorption layer are communicated from the photon absorption layer: to the first conductor layer when the first electrical potential is more positive than the second electrical potential, and to the second conductor layer when the second electrical potential is more positive than the first electrical potential, an electrical current produced by the electrons is proportional to an amount of absorption of the infrared photons in the photon absorption layer.

  • Publication number: 20200173951
Abstract: A microfluidic pH-stat with a specially-is designed slide and portable device can be used for point-of-care enzyme diagnostics. The slide includes a microchamber and a substrate for the enzyme being tested. The substrate is homogenized with the sample in the microchamber to form a test volume. The microchamber includes a working microelectrode that injects current to split water in the test volume to generate hydrogen ions and/or hydroxide ions and a micro-pH-electrode to measure a pH of the test volume; the slide also includes a reference microelectrode. The device includes a processor to adjust the injected current based on the pH of the test volume and determine an activity of the enzyme based on an amount the injected current is adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20160004824
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and apparatus is provided for providing prioritization of subunits. Visual indications of the prioritization may be displayed on interfaces such as geospatial arrangement. Medical facilities may utilize embodiments to indicate priorities of rooms to which to admit incoming patients. Users and staff within a particular unit may therefore prioritize subunits according to the unit's needs. Users in bed management, which may operate remotely from the unit, may easily identify high priority rooms to which to admit incoming patients. Priorities of subunits may be reassigned accordingly as prioritized subunits are utilized, and as other subunits are newly prioritized.
