  • Publication number: 20230083381
Abstract: A modular swimming pool includes a precast base unit and a precast riser unit that can be assembled at an installation site to define an interior volume in which a human can swim. The precast riser unit is secured to the base unit. The upper surface of the precast base unit and at least one internal surface of the precast riser unit define the interior volume of the modular pool when the precast base unit and the precast riser unit are secured together. A modular swimming pool assembly is also provided. A method of assembling a modular swimming pool is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20150316763
Abstract: A method and apparatus for correcting error modes of a deformable mirror, including selecting or targeting one or more target error modes of a deformable mirror; and designing a pattern and/or shape of one or more electrodes, wherein the pattern and/or shape of the electrodes are designed to optimally correct the target error modes when the electrodes are disposed on the deformable mirror via an active material. Also disclosed is a deformable structure, including a composite shell including a plurality of plies each including carbon fibers embedded in a resin; a nanolaminate comprising individual nanolayers attached to a first side of the composite shell; an actuation structure attached to a second side of the composite shell; and a flexible electrode routing layer attached to the actuation structure.

  • Patent number: 7653720
Abstract: A system and method to propagate data over a network such as the Internet. The system and method determine a first set of addresses and perform a function such as a primitive element exponentiation upon those addresses to map to a second address space. The second address space could be a pseudo random ordering of addresses in the first address space such that each address in the first address space maps to an address in the second address space. The second address space is traversed to deliver data to receptive elements on the network. Each receptive element on the network is enlisted to continue propagating the data across the network resulting in a one-to-one, pseudo-random, exponential propagation.

  • Publication number: 20090276837
Abstract: A number of equivalent credentials may be associated with at least one entity. Each of the equivalent credentials may be of one of a number of types, such as, for example, a cryptographic key pair, a password, a biometric, or other types or combinations thereof. When one of the equivalent credentials is authenticated by an authentication control system, the at least one entity may be permitted access to a hardware device, software, or a service associated with the authentication control system. The authentication control system may include a number of authentication endpoints and blocking controls, each of which may be associated with a respective equivalent credential. After the authentication control system authenticates one of the equivalent credentials, a parameter of a blocking control and/or configurable credential-related attributes of an authentication endpoint associated with another of the equivalent credentials may be changed or reset.

  • Publication number: 20050008641
Abstract: Novel compositions are described comprising the combined administration of serum complement proteins with complement-fixing antibodies. The antibodies specifically bind to one or more epitopes of myelin, and complement proteins. These compositions are useful for promoting regrowth, repair, and regeneration of neurons in the CNS of a mammalian subject. The compositions and method can be used following immediate or chronic injury.
