  • Publication number: 20240379009
Abstract: This disclosure describes a pickup location determination system that determines a pickup location for a received transportation request by filtering out door points based on various factors and by utilizing a pickup location model to select a pickup location from the filtered door points. For example, the disclosed systems generate door points relative to intersection points within a request radius of a request location associated with a received transportation request. The disclosed systems generate potential pickup locations by filtering out door points that are impractical and/or inefficient based on proximity to other door points, locations relative to venues, locations relative to side streets, and/or locations between parallel road segments (e.g., medians). The disclosed systems further utilize a pickup location model to select a pickup location from the potential pickup locations.

  • Publication number: 20240351101
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an article, e.g. a nuclear pressure vessel. The method involves: a) charging at least one hopper with steel powder; b) supplying an oxide stripping medium to the steel powder in the at least one hopper; c) removing the oxide stripping medium and any oxide particles stripped from the steel powder from the at least one hopper; d) discharging the oxide stripped steel powder into a can that provides a mould for the article; and e) converting the steel powder to solid steel by hot isostatic pressing to form the article. Stripping the steel powder of oxides whilst the steel powder is in the at least one hopper optimises desirable material properties of the article and thereby quality and safety of the article.

  • Patent number: 12077581
Abstract: The present invention is directed to antagonistic antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof having binding specificity for PACAP. These antibodies inhibit, block or neutralize at least one biological effect associated with PACAP, e.g., vasodilation. In exemplary embodiments these antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof may comprise specific VH, VL, and CDR polypeptides described herein. In some embodiments these antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof bind to and/or compete for binding to specific epitope(s) on human PACAP. The invention is further directed to using these antagonistic anti-PACAP antibodies, and binding fragments thereof, for the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of diseases and disorders associated with PACAP and conditions where antagonism of PACAP-related activities, such as vasodilation, mast cell degranulation, and/or neuronal activation, are therapeutically beneficial, e.g., headache and migraine indications.

  • Publication number: 20240292136
Abstract: A speaker system can include a first moving mass, such as a diaphragm, coupled to a fixed frame via a first non-rigid suspension and coupled to a voice coil. The speaker system can include a second moving mass, such as a motor assembly, coupled to the fixed frame. The speaker system can include a passive radiator coupled to the fixed frame via a second non-rigid suspension. The motor assembly and the diaphragm are configured to move in response to an audio drive signal, causing a pressure to be generated and a first force to be generated on the fixed frame. The fixed frame is configured so that the pressure is shunted to the first passive radiator that is configured to generate a second force in response to the shunted pressure causing a second force on the fixed frame that cancels at least a portion of the first force.

  • Publication number: 20240157287
Abstract: A scrubbing solution for removing contaminants, including particularly hydrogen sulfide, from a fluid. The scrubbing solution includes at least one scrubbing reagent which has a primary or secondary amine and an acid, which may be phosphoric acid. The fluid being scrubbed is passed through the scrubbing solution. The contaminants react with the scrubbing reagent securing them in the scrubbing solution. The fluid being scrubbed and the scrubbing solution are then separated. The scrubbing solution is heated and, if the scrubbing solution is under pressure, the pressure is reduced. The acid facilitates thorough removal of the contaminants, and especially the hydrogen sulfide, from the scrubbing solution. The scrubbing solution is then ready for reuse. Because the scrubbing solution is rendered substantially free of hydrogen sulfides, it can absorb other sulfide contaminants that might not otherwise be absorbed.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for key in lockbox encrypted data deduplication are provided. The method collects a set of deduplication information by a host in communication with a storage system via a communications network. A fingerprint is generated for a data chunk to be stored on a storage system. The method encrypts the data chunk using a first encryption key to generate an encrypted data chunk. The fingerprint is encrypted with a second encryption key to generate an encrypted fingerprint. The method encrypts the first encryption key with a third encryption key to generate a first encrypted key. The method encrypts the first encryption key with a fourth encryption key to generate a second encryption key. A data package is generated for transmission to the storage system.
