  • Publication number: 20090102546
Abstract: A composite band-pass filter receives a quadrature input signal and passes an intermediate frequency signal while attenuating all other signals including an undesired image signal. The composite band-pass filter is comprised of a continuous time polyphase filter and a discrete time polyphase filter and can amplify signals. The amplification is distributed through out the composite band-pass filter and the amount of amplification may be selected by control signals. The composite band-pass filter has improved dynamic range and noise characteristics, selectable amplification and replaces an external crystal filter.

  • Patent number: 6133783
Abstract: A system and method for use in cancelling phase jitter in a Phase Locked Loop (PLL) circuit. A phase jitter canceller receives a phase error signal having phase jitter centered around a center frequency. A frequency and phase control circuit determines the phase of a particular component of phase jitter and an amplitude control circuit determines the amplitude of the particular component of phase jitter in the signal. The output of the phase jitter canceller provides an estimate of the particular component of phase jitter. A parallel arrangement of phase jitter cancellers is also provided for use in cancelling several components of phase jitter.

  • Patent number: 5774617
Abstract: A manifold for breaking out optical fibers from a multifiber bundle has at least one input channel and several output channels. The channels are initially laterally open so that fibers can be laid in the channels without having to thread a fiber end through an aperture, and can then be closed once the fiber has been laid in, to retain fiber.
