  • Patent number: 12636441
Abstract: A needle shield device may include a needle housing and a needle assembly slideably coupled to the needle housing. The needle housing may include a nose portion configured to be inserted into a catheter adapter and an elongated body having a distal end, a proximal end, and a slot disposed between the distal end and the proximal end of the elongated body. A distal portion of the slot may be sealed to prevent blood from leaking out of the needle housing. The needle assembly may include a needle grip, an introducer needle having a sharp distal tip and a proximal end, and a needle hub having a protuberance coupled to the needle grip and slideably fit within the slot. In response to movement of the needle assembly to a proximal position with respect to the needle housing, the sharp distal tip may be disposed within the needle housing.

  • Publication number: 20260115429
Abstract: A tactile-feedback system and method for guidewire-containing medical devices facilitates locating a guidewire within both a medical device and a blood vessel of a patient. In an example, a tactile-feedback system for a guidewire-containing medical device includes a guidewire and a rigid member in vibratory communication with a handholdable portion of the medical device. The guidewire includes interactive features along its length. The interactive features of the guidewire interact with the rigid member to produce user-perceptible vibrations in the handholdable portion of the medical device as the guidewire moves against the rigid member while being advanced out of the medical device or retracted into the device. The user-perceptible vibrations provide tactile feedback to a user of the medical device indicating a status of the guidewire with respect to a patient or the medical device.

  • Patent number: 12532962
Abstract: The modular cabinet for use with mobile storage receptacles includes a shelf, a side wall, a mounting bracket, and a rear mounting panel. One or more of the shelves, one or more of the side walls, one or more of the mounting brackets, one or more of the rear mounting panels, or any combination thereof may be assembled into a modular cabinet operable to retain one or more mobile storage receptacles. A plurality of engaging members on the mobile storage receptacle may engage with the shelf or with the rear mounting panel to retain the mobile storage receptacle to the modular cabinet. In some embodiments, a locking tab on the mobile storage receptacle may engage a lock cut out on the modular cabinet to prevent the mobile storage receptacle from decoupling.

  • Patent number: 12458780
Abstract: A needle tip shield may include a needle passageway that may receive a needle, a tip shield interior space that may receive a needle block, and a fluid restriction member. The fluid restriction member may be configured to restrict fluid leakage into and/or out of the needle tip shield. The fluid restriction member may be selected from the group consisting of: (1) a fluid impedance member located adjacent the needle passageway that may impede fluid from entering into the needle tip shield through the needle passageway; (2) a fluid retention member that may retain fluid within the tip shield interior space; and (3) an anti-splatter member that may inhibit fluid splatter when the needle block moves from an open position to a closed position within the tip shield interior space.
