Abstract: The present invention relates generally to an athletic protective pad device, and more particularly relates to an improved construction for a prophylactic splint-like device of the type to be utilized by a participant in protecting the body in a contact sport, such as football or the like. In the invention, the device has specific application to protect the knee during periods of physical contact during playing the game of football.
