  • Publication number: 20230187839
Abstract: A substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity antenna is described that enables dual frequency and broadband operation, as well as enhanced protection from radio frequency interference (RFI) that may be present within an electronic device environment. The SIW cavity antenna includes a capacitively-coupled feed that is disposed within the volume of the SIW cavity antenna, which is enclosed on four sides via a set of electrically-conductive plates. The SIW cavity antenna radiates using the remaining two open sides as apertures. The SIW cavity antenna may include a meander line radiator to facilitate the operation of a second frequency band, as well as the use of a tuning stub to further enhance the impedance bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20220344835
Abstract: Monodirectional antennas may be arranged to radiate in a near omni-directional pattern. By incorporating switches into the antenna arrangement, the antennas can be controlled to selectively radiate from a common radiofrequency feed. These arrangements may be packaged in a housing, which may aid both in antenna performance and in antenna installation. According to another aspect of the disclosure, housings may include a plurality of antennas, and one or more procedures may be implemented to determine a codebook to radiate from the circular arrangement according to various beam constrains.

  • Publication number: 20220337282
Abstract: A radio frequency front end and an antenna front end may be separated from one another to maintain close proximity between a low noise amplifier and an antenna while achieving improved thermal regulation of a power amplifier. The radio frequency front end antenna front end may include a duplexing system that enables operation with a single electrical cable. Furthermore, where it is desired to transmit a radiofrequency signal via a waveguide, a flexible waveguide may be constructed with a distributed capacitance between waveguide protrusions.

  • Publication number: 20180140032
Abstract: A wig clip having a set of comb teeth movable into and out of engagement with a clamping member on a frame is provided with a layer of fusible solid material on the frame in a quantity sufficient to enable the wig clip to be secured to the net material of a wig base by the application of heat to the layer of solid material. The application of heat causes the solid material to melt so that, when the wig clip is brought into contact with the net material, the fusible material flows through apertures of the net material, and then resolidifies, the wig clip is securely attached to the net material. The preferred fusible solid material is ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.

  • Publication number: 20180077986
Abstract: In a wig clip in which comb teeth are movable from a first condition in which they are spaced from an elongated clamping member to a second condition in which they are capable of clamping a user's natural hair against the clamping member, an intermediate portions of each of the comb teeth has opposite edges which are in oblique relationship to the direction of elongation of the clamping member. These opposite edges are spaced from each other by a distance greater than the width of each of the other portions of the same comb tooth.

  • Publication number: 20180077985
Abstract: A wig base is provided with one or more wig clip assemblies, each comprising two or more wig clips. Each of the wig clips comprises a set of comb teeth movable by a toggle action alternatively toward and away from a connecting part for gripping a lock of a wearer's natural hair. The wig clips of each wig clip assembly are connected by a connecting member and preferably rotatable relative to the connecting member. The connecting of the two wig clips to each other helps to ensure that the a given wig clip remains in place even if it becomes fully or partially disengaged from the wearer's natural hair. Rotation of the wig clips relative to the connecting member ensures that the connection does not interfere with the wearer's comfort.

  • Publication number: 20170290385
Abstract: A wig base comprises a sheet of material having a dome shape with a peak, a border defining a bottom opening, and an anterior portion comprising net material. A reinforcement, for a gap that can be formed in a selected area of the net material adjacent the bottom opening, is provided by one of a plurality of strips of fabric each of which has a pair of opposite ends spaced from each other and located adjacent the border of the sheet, and a U-shaped intermediate portion connecting one of the ends to the other and extending from the border toward the peak. A wearer's natural hair can be passed through a gap and blended with hair woven to the net material of wig base. The reinforcement maintains the integrity of the wig base.

  • Publication number: 20170156428
Abstract: A wig clip has comb teeth movable in and out of contact with an elongated part of a wig clip frame. Each of the comb teeth is fitted with an elastomeric sleeve. The elastomeric sleeves on the comb teeth cooperate with an elastomeric sleeve of the elongated frame part to grip a user's natural hair frictionally and thereby resist slippage of the wig clip relative to the user's natural hair and hold a wig base to which the wig clip is attached firmly in place on the user's head.
