If the available network code is on the list of blocked network codes, the application may send a notification that service is not available or may see if a different network code is on the list of blocked network codes. If the available network code is not on the list of blocked network codes, voice and/or data services may be provided to the portable electronic device by the telecommunications service provider associated with the available network code.
