  • Publication number: 20060058124
Abstract: Provided is a broadhead for an arrow having a shaft with a shaft bore. The broadhead comprises a ferrule and a plurality of blade members. The ferrule has a mating end and a tip end with a plurality of convex ridges being equiangularly spaced around the ferrule such that the ferrule has a tri-oval cross section. Each one of the ridges has a blade groove formed therein for receiving one of the blade members. The blade members each have a base portion that is shaped complementary to the blade groove so that the blade member may be axially insertable into the blade groove. The broadhead includes a shank extending outwardly from the mating end and which is threadably engagable into the shaft bore. An O-ring mounted on the shank is captured between the shank and the shaft bore when the broadhead is secured to the arrow at the mating end.

  • Publication number: 20050244787
Abstract: A device is disclosed for applying and holding a dental matrix strip against the side of a tooth which is to be filled. An embodiment of the device comprises a split ring that slidably receives a matrix. The split ring in this embodiment can have cushions on its ends sized to resist passage through matrix apertures following insertion of such cushions through these apertures when these components are slidably coupled together. This embodiment can also comprise respective matrix slots that receive portions of the split ring to at least partially conform the shape of the matrix to the shape of the split ring.

  • Publication number: 20050154181
Abstract: Water absorption resistant polyimide pastes (or solutions), are particularly useful to make electronic screen printable pastes and the electronic components made from these pastes. A group of soluble polyimides and their solvents were discovered to be particularly resistant to moisture absorption. These polyimide solutions optionally contain polyimides also containing cross-linkable monomers and/or thermal cross-linking agents. In addition, these polyimide pastes may optionally contain adhesion promoting agents, blocked isocyanates, metals, metal oxides, and other inorganic fillers. The polyimide pastes (or solutions) of the present invention have a polyimide with a glass transition temperature greater than 250° C., have a water absorption factor of less than 2%, and a have a positive solubility measurement.

  • Publication number: 20050154105
Abstract: A composition comprising: a polymer with a glass transition temperature greater than 250° C. and a water absorption of 2% or less; one or more metals or metal compounds; and an organic solvent. The polymer can optionally include sites that can crosslink with one or more crosslinking agents. The compositions can be used to produce electronic components such as resistors, discrete or planar capacitors, conductive adhesives and electrical and thermal conductors. The invention is also directed to a composition comprising a polymer with a glass transition temperature greater than 250° C. and a water absorption of 2% or less, and an organic solvent. These compositions can also be used in a number of electronic applications such as an encapsulant and as an integrated circuit packaging material.

  • Patent number: 5899694
Abstract: A loop of cord, projecting out from one end of an elongate sleeve is placed around the base of a tooth and closed. In one preferred form, the cord includes elastic material so that, as the loop is closed around the tooth, the contractile force exerted by the stretched elastic cord around the circumference of the tooth at a part of the tooth which tapers toward the root tends to seat the cord apically (toward the apex of the root). The self-seating tendency of this loop of elastic cord as it is tightened around the base of a tooth more effectively separates the gingival tissues from the base of the tooth. As a result, good clean dry access to the margins of a crown or inlay is provided. In one form, the sleeve is of a heat shrinkable material and is heat shrunk to frictionally engage the cord.

  • Patent number: 5247133
Abstract: An enclosure providing an evacuated region about an array of microelectronic vacuum devices including a substrate, a first encapsulation member defining a cavity, a second encapsulation member defining a cavity and mating with the first encapsulation member so as to define an encapsulated region, a ledge formed in the first encapsulation member for supporting the substrate and defining a communicating passage between the cavities and a sealing agent disposed between the mating surfaces of the encapsulation members to effect a vacuum seal such that when the encapsulated region is evacuated it will be at the same vacuum levels throughout to eliminate differential pressure induced deformation of the substrate. The evacuated substrate enclosure further provides for assembly without an evacuated environment.
