  • Publication number: 20240120834
Abstract: Methods and systems of powering a radio that can be mounted on a tower of a wireless communication system are provided in which a direct current (“DC”) voltage is provided to the radio over a power cable from a power supply configured to change the direct current (DC) output from the power supply based on a measured current level. The power supply is configured to change the DC voltage from a first voltage level to a second voltage level in response to the measured current being greater than or equal to a first threshold value.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20240106326
Abstract: In one embodiment, a boosting system includes a booster circuit. The booster circuit is configured to receive a direct current (DC) voltage input and to adjust the DC voltage input. The boosting system further includes a current sensing circuit coupled to the booster circuit and a first end of a power cable. The current sensing circuit is configured to measure a current at the first end of the power cable. The boosting system further includes one or more processors coupled to the booster circuit and the current sensing circuit. The one or more processors are configured to adjust an output of the booster circuit when the current sensing circuit indicates that the current at the first end of the power cable exceeds a first threshold. The first threshold is selected at least in part based on one or more safety standards of the power cable.

  • Patent number: 9728909
Abstract: A mounting system for facilitating ordered mating of plural connectors includes a first plate having plural mounting positions for first connectors. A second plate is attached to the first plate by a standoff. A housing extends between the first and second plates and substantially covers an area between the first and second plates. In a keying embodiment, each mounting position has an inner perimeter shape different than the others. Each connector of plural first connectors includes a threaded portion holding a first nut with an outer perimeter having a shape unique as compared to the other first nuts. The outer perimeter of the first nut seats into one, and only one, of the plural mounting positions. A third plate is mounted to and spaced from the first plate. The third plate includes plural keyholes which are aligned to the plural mounting positions. Each keyhole has an inner perimeter shape matching the inner perimeter shape of the mounting position to which the keyhole is aligned.

  • Patent number: 9660397
Abstract: A mounting system for facilitating ordered mating of plural connectors includes a bracket having at least one feature for securing to a pole or wall. A plate is connected to the bracket and includes plural mounting positions. Optional grounding and/or surge arrestors may be included. In a keying embodiment, each mounting position has an inner perimeter shape different than the inner perimeter shapes of the other mounting positions. Each connector of plural first connectors includes a threaded portion holding a first nut with an outer perimeter having a shape unique as compared to the first nuts of other first connectors. The outer perimeter of the first nut seats into one, and only one, of the plural mounting positions of the plate. Optionally, a second plate may be mounted to and spaced from the first plate. The second plate includes plural keyholes which are aligned to the plural mounting positions.
