Publication number: 20240392770Abstract: A diaphragm pump can include an inlet, an outlet, and a pump chamber positioned in a fluid path between the inlet and outlet. The assembly can include a diaphragm and a movable piston. Movement of the piston toward the pump chamber can force a portion of the diaphragm to move from its rest position to a position further within the pump chamber and to increase pressure in the pump chamber. Movement of the piston away from the pump chamber can force a portion of the diaphragm to move from its rest position to a position away from the pump chamber and to reduce pressure in the pump chamber. The assembly can also include a first and second check valve. In the closed position, the second check valve can be unsealed to provide an escape path for gas. In the closed position, the first check valve can be sealed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 14, 2024Publication date: November 28, 2024Inventors: Nicholas James Anderson, Robert E. Gledhill, III, Ricky Chandy Lee, John T. Nguyen

Publication number: 20240271612Abstract: A pump system can include a tube disposed about a rotor. The rotor can be configured to drive fluid through the tube as the rotor rotates. The tube can be replaceable when the tube fails. The pump system can include a processor configured to determine a predicted number of revolutions of the rotor before the tube fails based on a number n of past tube failure detection (TFD) events. Each past TFD event can have a corresponding nth TFD value based at least in part on the number of revolutions the rotor had rotated before the tube failed. When n=0, the predicted number of revolutions can be set to a putative value, and when n=1, the predicted number of revolutions can be based at least in part on the first TFD value and the putative value.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 8, 2024Publication date: August 15, 2024Inventors: Patrick Michael Murphy, Robert E. Gledhill, III, Quang Phan, Jonathan Trong Dinh, John T. Nguyen

Patent number: 12049887Abstract: A peristaltic pump can include a chassis and a chassis retaining portion forming a cavity. The pump can also include a rotor, a cover, and a linkage. The rotor can be disposed within the cavity such that tubing can be held between the rotor and the chassis and/or the chassis retaining portion. The linkage can couple the cover to the chassis. The linkage can include an arm. When opening the cover, the arm can pivot such that the chassis moves away from the chassis retaining portion to widen the cavity. When closing the cover, the arm can pivot such that the chassis moves toward the chassis retaining portion. When closed, a stop can restrict further movement of a corresponding member toward the chassis retaining portion.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2023Date of Patent: July 30, 2024Assignee: Blue-White Industries, Ltd.Inventors: John T. Nguyen, Robert E. Gledhill III

Patent number: 12044354Abstract: A quick mounting bracket for a pump is provided. The bracket includes a flexible handle that moves relative to stabilizer tabs. The bracket has ramped surfaces that guide a portion of the pump housing into a receiving slot of the bracket. A hinge of the handle biases the handle away from the pump such that the handle is driven to overlap the portion of the pump housing that seats into the receiving slot, thereby locking the pump onto the bracket until the handle is move to clear receiving slot and allow the pump to be removed from the bracket.Type: GrantFiled: September 12, 2023Date of Patent: July 23, 2024Assignee: Blue-White Industries, Ltd.Inventors: John T. Nguyen, Robert E. Gledhill, III

Publication number: 20240110559Abstract: A rotor assembly for a peristaltic pump is provided. Each of a first pair of roller assemblies includes a first roller portion having a first diameter and a second roller portion having a second diameter. The first diameter is larger than the second diameter. Each of a second pair of roller assemblies includes a first roller portion having a first diameter and a second roller portion having a second diameter. The first diameter is smaller than the second diameter. The first and second pairs of roller assemblies are positionable around a circumference of a hub such that the first roller portion of the first pair of roller assemblies is aligned with the first roller portion of the second pair of roller assemblies and the second roller portion of the first pair of roller assemblies is aligned with the second roller portion of the second pair of roller assemblies.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 15, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: John T.
