    Abstract: An x-ray tube (10) includes a feedthrough (30) for feeding electric wires (32) from an exterior of the x-ray tube into an evacuated interior. The feedthrough includes a glass plug (42) having an annular groove (46) in which a tubular end (36a) of a Kovar sleeve (34) is received and thermally fused. The glass plug further has a plurality of bores (44) through which leads (32) are received, which leads have a Kovar section (40) which is received in the bores and thermally fused to the glass plug.
