  • Patent number: 5465513
Abstract: In the process of soil excavating work or like work with the use of excavators and loaders, it is becoming more usual to use different hydraulically functioning implements. It is often necessary to exchange these implements several times during a working day, necessitating the driver to connect and disconnect the hydraulic hoses involved manually, which can be a time-consuming task and one which is encumbered with the risk of oil spilling from the hoses and generally soiling the clothing of the workman involved, tools and the surrounding ground.

  • Patent number: 5333400
Abstract: In order to quickly and easily provide a coupling of a drive fluid to a hydraulic cylinder of an accessory of an excavator, a part articulately connected with a dipper arm and a dipper ladle link of the excavator is also provided with one or more hydraulic couplings of a female type. The accessory to be coupled to the part is provided with the corresponding hydraulic couplings of a male type, so that on connection to the part the accessory after fixing, rotating and locking is also connected to a drive fluid. The hydraulic couplings are kept together by the accessory having been connected to the Joint means of the excavator. When the accessory is disconnected and removed, the hydraulic connections will also be interrupted.

  • Patent number: 4515522
Abstract: A pipelaying appliance (1) is removably connected to the bucket (2) of an excavator with the aid of a gripping means (3) mounted on the bucket. The appliance includes two gripping arms (7, 8) of which one thrusts into the pipe (9) and the other is situated on the outside of the pipe. The gripping arms are movable to and from each other and are connected to the appliance so that the clamping force of the gripping arms on the pipe wall will be proportional to the weight of the pipe carried by the appliance.

  • Patent number: 4485570
Abstract: A drilling machine includes a coupling means (19) for removably coupling the drilling machine (1) to the bucket of an excavator with the aid of gripping arms (20, 21). Between the drilling machine and coupling means there is a rubber member (9) taking up misalignment stresses and a gas spring (11, 12) taking up shock and compression stresses arising in conjunction with drilling.

  • Patent number: 4297799
Abstract: An apparatus for digging post holes and erecting posts is disclosed. A post hole digging shovel (1) is provided with pivotably mounted gripping arms (6, 7) gripping around a post. Two recesses (12, 13) in the shovel form a seat for the post when gripped by said arms.
