  • Patent number: 11948224
Abstract: One embodiment provides an apparatus comprising a memory stack including multiple memory dies and a parallel processor including a plurality of multiprocessors. Each multiprocessor has a single instruction, multiple thread (SIMT) architecture, the parallel processor coupled to the memory stack via one or more memory interfaces. At least one multiprocessor comprises a multiply-accumulate circuit to perform multiply-accumulate operations on matrix data in a stage of a neural network implementation to produce a result matrix comprising a plurality of matrix data elements at a first precision, precision tracking logic to evaluate metrics associated with the matrix data elements and indicate if an optimization is to be performed for representing data at a second stage of the neural network implementation, and a numerical transform unit to dynamically perform a numerical transform operation on the matrix data elements based on the indication to produce transformed matrix data elements at a second precision.

  • Patent number: 10378127
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a yarn comprising a blend of jade-containing fibers, such as jade-containing polyester fibers, with hydrophobic cotton fibers and optionally conventional fibers. The jade in the jade-containing polyester fibers provides the yarn with a cooling effect when it contacts a person's skin. The hydrophobic cotton fibers provide the yarn with hydrophobicity. When included in a fabric that also contains yarn having hydrophilic properties in a manner such that a higher percentage of the hydrophobic yarn is present on the back surface of the fabric than on the front surface of the fabric, the fabric has a cooling and moisture-wicking effect. The yarn may be used as the fill of a denim twill weave to provide denim clothing having enhanced cooling and moisture-wicking properties.

  • Patent number: 5129246
Abstract: A mechanical expander for tubing for heat transfer products. The tubing expander includes one or more elongated rods, each having an enlargement on the forward end thereof for insertion into tubing to be expanded. The rods are supported on a carriage which in turn is slidably mount on a frame. The carriage is driven forwardly and rearwardly along the frame by a hydraulic motor operably coupled to the carriage by a continuous chain. Elongated tubes which are respectively fixedly attached to a cross member and which respectively partially surround the rods limit lateral or bowing movements of the rods. There are clamping jaws mounted on the frame for clampingly holding the ends of the tubing to be expanded.
