Abstract: A hot dip coating apparatus and method for coating a continuous steel strip, wire, or like continuous member with zinc, aluminum, tin, lead, or alloys of each. A molten coating bath is contained in a vessel having a bottom opening upwardly through which the steel member is directed. Magnetic containment devices located below the vessel's bottom opening prevent the escape of molten metal from the vessel through the opening. There are no guide rolls, or other rolls that act on the continuous steel member, in the bath.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus for performing one leg squats and the like which includes a bar, apparatus for supporting the bar in a substantially vertical position; and a grip carried on the bar mounted for sliding axial movement on the bar. In other forms of the invention the apparatus for supporting includes mounting structure configured for cooperation with a wall of a room. The apparatus for supporting may comprise as least one v-shaped bracket having an apex and the vertical bar constrained by the bracket at the apex.

Abstract: Exercise apparatus for use with an associated barbell includes a support for holding the body of a user in reclining position on his or her back, first and second generally vertically columns disposed on respective sides of the support and first and second bar raising arms carried respectively on the first and second arms. Each bar raising arm is mounted for vertical movement with respect to one of the columns; apparatus for raising and lowering the bar raising arm synchronism; and apparatus for sensing the lowering of the associated barbell to a predetermined position and actuating the apparatus for raising and lowering upon such event.
