  • Publication number: 20200408328
Abstract: Embodiments for an automatic fluid shut off device having a float disposed in a fluid catch basin attached to a first end of a flexible cable movable in an opposite direction of rising fluid in the catch basin; a second flexible cable end extending to a fluid supply base and terminating adjacent to a restrained spider assembly, the spider assembly configured to be rotationally displaceable upon a force by the second flexible cable end in response to a rising fluid in the catch basin; the spider assembly pivotably connected to a shut-off valve; and the shut off valve retained in an open position while the spider assembly is restrained, and under a rotational force to close the shut-off valve upon activation of the spider valve in response to the force by the second flexible cable end.

  • Publication number: 20090315751
Abstract: A vehicle system for controlling at least one radio frequency (RF) receiver/control unit is provided. The system comprises a global positioning system (GPS) receiver, a vehicle controller, and a vehicle interface display. The GPS receiver is configured to generate a geographic location signal indicative of the first location of the RF receiver/control unit. The vehicle controller is configured to associate the geographic location signal to an RF control signal. The vehicle interface display is configured to present at least one menu option for occupant selection to control the operation of the RF receiver/control unit such that the vehicle interface display controls the vehicle controller to transmit the RF control signal to control the RF receiver/control unit to perform the predetermined operation in response to the occupant selecting the at least one menu option.

  • Patent number: 6945087
Abstract: A system (10) and method is provided for calibrating a tire pressure monitoring system using an EM transmitter (14). The present invention includes a first pressure sensor coupled to a wheel of an automotive vehicle (12). The EM pressure transmitter (14) is coupled to the pressure sensor (32). The transmitter (14) has a serial number associated therewith. An EM calibration device has a transmitting range. The EM transmitter device has an actuator. When the actuator is activated, a calibration signal (34) is transmitted within the transmitting range. The calibration signal causes the EM pressure transmitter (32) to transmit a serial number. A controller (16) is EM coupled to the pressure transmitter. The controller (16) receives the serial number and associates the serial number with a tire location of the vehicle.
