Abstract: A furlable lamp includes a translucent flexible sheet having left and right halves, a bent spine connecting the left and right halves, an opening and a space located between the left and right halves, a supporting structure including a plurality of hollow frame pairs and a light base pair, and a light source disposed on the light base pair. The opening is gradually narrowed from a first end to a second end of the translucent flexible sheet. Each of the hollow frame pairs and light base pair, which are arranged one by one from the first end to the second end of the translucent flexible sheet, includes left and right units symmetrically fixed on the left and right halves of the sheet respectively. The furlable lamp is capable of furling and unfurling to change the shape and light-emitting effect thereof.

A member made of, or containing, nucleation-site-rich material on the underside of the lid extends into the liquid to activate boiling, thereby assuring a safe transition of the liquid to a normal boiling state. Steam escapes through an integrated whistle in the lid, alerting the user to the boiling.
