  • Patent number: 7825867
Abstract: Methods and systems of changing antenna polarization. At least some of the illustrative embodiments are systems comprising an antenna having a first feed point and a second feed point, an antenna communication circuit, and a switch assembly that selectively couples the antenna communication circuit to the first feed point, and that selectively couples the antenna communication circuit to the second feed point. The feed point (or group of feed points) is selected, for example, based on polarization of an electromagnetic wave to be radiated from or received by the antenna.

  • Patent number: 7823716
Abstract: A product stabilizing conveyor system for a continuous, segmented lane curvilinear conveyor having linear and curvilinear sections. The conveyor is configured to transport small products, e.g. 0.46 diameter glass vials, in circular fashion. Wedged-shaped diverter elements are positioned at the juncture between a linear section and curvilinear section of the conveyor, after the registry and outfeed area. The diverter elements serve to direct the minute vials away from the larger interstices which form on the outbound paths of travel of the curvilinear section and towards the smaller sized interstices on the inboard paths of travel. Diverting the vials in this manner ensures they do not cross over the edges of the larger sized interstices and fall over onto the conveyor surface. Instead they remain upright as they travel around the curvilinear section and hence around the entire conveyor.

  • Patent number: 7826973
Abstract: A method for obtaining enhanced seismic data and optimized inverted reflectivities includes computing statistical well characterizations based upon band-limited well reflectivities for a subsurface region. Sets of processed seismic data are computed by applying differing processing sequences to seismic data corresponding to the subsurface region. Inverted reflectivities are computed by inverting the sets of processed seismic data. Statistical seismic characterizations are computed based upon the inverted reflectivities. Statistical difference measurements (SDMs) are computed between the statistical well and seismic characterizations. An optimal processing sequence is selected based upon the computed SDMs. Enhanced seismic data is obtained by processing the seismic data corresponding to the subsurface region. An optimal seismic inversion algorithm is obtained based upon the computed SDMs.

  • Patent number: 7825845
Abstract: A digital output semiconductor magnetic field sensor integrated circuit provides a low-cost and dense packaging solution for providing digital indicators of magnetic field magnitudes. A delta-sigma modulator based analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is integrated on a die with a semiconductor magnetic field sensor. The delta-sigma modulator provides for noise-shaping the sensor output and the co-location of the sensor and the converter on the die provides for improved noise immunity. The current loops of the ADC and digital interface are made as small as possible and are disposed on the die so that they are orthogonal to the axis of the magnetic field sensor, so that noise from the converter operation is isolated from the sensor.
