Abstract: A system and method for indicating suggested user responses is disclosed. The method includes loading an image into image-editing equipment. The method further includes determining a set of quality-related problems of the image using software. An animated icon is displayed in conjunction with the image, and indicates a suggested user response to one of the quality-related problems. Other embodiments may include matching a corrective function with one of said set of quality-related problems, and indicating the suggested user response in response to the matching. Further embodiments may perform the indicating by having the animated icon proffer a tool icon, or by performing a related editing to the animated icon. Finally, in other embodiments the method may include moving the animated icon to alternate image-editing equipment.

Abstract: A case for an electronic device, which includes a first protective material that maintains the electronic device within the case, and at least one controlling interface that is in electrical communication with said electronic device, and disposed on the first protective material. Through the controlling interface, the user can operate an electronic feature of the electronic device. Electrical communication between the controlling interface and the electronic device can be carried out, at least in part using wireless communication means. Further, a connection port can included for transferring electrical signals between the electronic device and the controlling interface. The connection port can be attached to the first protective material to avoid separation of the port from the case.

Abstract: A method and system for automatically adding effects to still images are described. In one embodiment, a source image and a template are selected. Further, designated areas of the source image are automatically replaced with template image information, the template image information alters the source image to produce special effects. In an alternate embodiment, designated areas of the source image are automatically replaced with template image information, the template image information giving the appearance of animation of the source image. In another alternate embodiment, the selected areas of the source image are replaced with template image information to produce an animation image sequence, the template image information giving the appearance of animation of the source image.

Abstract: The digital camera system includes a digital camera, a predetermined remote location, a camera distributor and an advertiser. The digital camera is configured to exclusively and automatically connect to the predetermined remote location to upload image data to the predetermined remote location and to download advertising data from the predetermined remote location. The digital camera is also configured to display the advertising data and utilizes the predetermined remote location as the sole way to distribute the image data. The advertiser compensates the camera distributor and the owner of the predetermined remote location based on the advertising data which is viewed by the camera user. In turn, the camera distributor is able to reduce the cost of the digital camera to the camera user.

Abstract: An electronic music marker device is provided with a cord and a plug coupled to the device housing such that the cord and the plug are adaptable so as to fit into the device housing with a cap to enclose and conceal the cord and plug. The cap is coupled to the housing by a hinge and lock mechanism such that when unlocked, the cap can be opened and the retractable cord with the plug such as a USB port attached thereto, can be released from the device housing to connect to an external device.
