  • Publication number: 20240084491
Abstract: A filter element for a removable filter apparatus of a laundry treating appliance includes a rectangular base and a filtration surface, integral to the rectangular base, defining a particulate capture chamber extending upwards from the rectangular base, the particulate capture chamber being centered along a midpoint of the rectangular base along the length of the filter element, the particulate capture chamber having an open bottom through the rectangular base.

  • Publication number: 20050084890
Abstract: A homogeneous high-throughput assay is provided which rapidly screens compounds to determine degree of inhibition of Replication Protein A (RPA) binding of DNA. Inhibition by a compounds causes a change in the amount of a detectable signal and the degree of inhibition is determined by comparing the amount of detectable signal with an amount of background detectable signal. The assay comprises adding a volume of RPA to a plurality of wells, adding a volume of each of the plurality of compounds to the plurality of wells, adding reporter-labeled DNA to each of the wells, and measuring the detectable signal emitted from each of the wells. The assay is useful in screening large numbers of compounds for potential utility in cancer treatment strategies, particularly in treatment strategies for chemotherapeutically resistant cancers.
