  • Patent number: 4927014
Abstract: A garment bag formed by two fabric walls hinged together along one side edge and enclosed on the remaining edges by a slidable fastener. A carrying strap having a wide foam-backed pad distributes the weight when shoulder carrying a loaded bag. When folded upon itself, it has a hanger spanning adjoining edges and secured in a retainer loop. A retainer flap overlies the hanger and loop to keep the hanger in the loop. • Patent number: 4915220
Abstract: A garment bag has a hook at its upper end and a loop at its lower end into which the hook is retained when the garment bag is folded upon itself. The hook is attached to the upper end by means of a slide which can selectively be attached to a rigid receptacle on said upper end or a loop extending from the upper end, thereby providing for one of two dimensions from the upper end to the lower end, thereby accommodating either lightly filled or very full garment bags.

  • Patent number: 4753342
Abstract: A garment carrier includes an inner chamber. A stiff flap is hingedly mounted along a lower edge of the inner chamber between front and rear panels of the garment carrier. The flap includes a plurality of elastic shoe pockets for receiving shoes. A hanger bracket is pivotably mounted at an upper edge of the inner chamber. The hanger bracket includes a pair of spaced apart, stationary legs each of which having a resilient insert portion defining a longitudinal channel for receiving hanger hooks. Each of the insert portions includes longitudinally spaced projections extending perpendicularly into the channel. The projections on one side of the channel are aligned with, and terminate short of, the projections disposed on the opposite side of the channel. A pair of triangular corner pockets are positioned in two upper corners of the inner chamber. The corner pockets are formed of flexible material and provided with reinforcement to maintain their shape.
